is there some sort of calculation for raiding which involves rank? or somthing other than is mentioned in the game rules
"Raid Raiding is an attack type that focuses on stealing untrained units, opposed to naquadah. A successful raid will get up to 1.5 percent of their untrained units (add 50% if you are at war with them, and 100% if both sides are at war), if full turns are used. Less time (turns) means less can be raided. The damage to troops, weapons and mothership is the same as a normal attack. When raiding, anti-covert agents are not used. Aside from these differences, raid is identical to attack as explained above."
the reason i ask if because ive just been raided like a **Filtered** and lost what i was saving(i know stupid mistake to leave it open oh well) but i just dont get it because they were taking 1500+ from me per raid after they got me down to 0 def and i only had about 200k UU the guy who got it now has 350k UU and i sabbed him down to 0 def and tryed to raid him well over the ammount of stats he was raiding me with and i can only get 90ish UU per raid. is there somthing im missing?

The only thing about raiding that involves rank is if it lets you raid them at all. You can only raid something like 10x your rank, which is why a lot of raiders drop rank to be able to raid all of those low rank inactive farms. Raiding is all about percentages, you only get so many % of what's sitting out. The other person probably trained most of them, which is what you should have done in the first place.

its actually 10 times your own rank. for example if you are ranked 2k you can raid someone down to 20k rank, anyone beyond that you cant hit.

I knew that, don't know what I was thinking. Thanks for pointing it out heh.

That's why I like to drop my rank to around 9k when I'm raiding, that way NO ACCOUNT is safe.

ok, for clarification, you can raid (your rank + 10)10
(rank 1 + 10)10
\ /
(11)10 = 11 * 10
\ /
110
Rank 1 can raid anyone 110 and higher.
(Rank 5000 + 10)10
\ /
(5010)10 = 5010 * 10
\ /
50100
rank 5000 can raid almost anyone in the game

guy who got it now has 350k UU
i spyed him and they were untrained and still only 90ish per raid i dont seem o understand and to the other poster both partied involved me and him have declared war so i really dont get why he can raid me for 1.5k UU and me only 90ish when my stats are all like 10x him except for the defence which somone else brought me down to 0 and i got him down to 0 so thats the same

maybe you are misreading the spy reports and thinking that the wrong number is miners.
