Under a War Torn Sky
my fav book it is about a pilot that gets shot down over germany and has to rely on the resistance in france to get him safely back home
i also recommend the Chronicles of Narnia. They may seem childish at first but there are cool parts about the book like people getting a unicorns horn stuck through their stomach and gorey stuff like that and it is really a christian series if you know or have heard about the books or movie it doesnt take much to figure it out that the lion is jesus

The whole Ender's Game series and the offshoots about Bean are good. I always like Terry Brooks' books, like The Sword of Shannara (sp?), but it's been a while since I've read any of them. I also enjoyed Angels and Demons.

I've only read a few Robert Ludlum books, I didn't like them too much, I liked the movie based on one book though

lol.
I think our US counterparts shouldn't have much trouble finding Matthew Reilly's books.
If not theres probobly some website where you can read the book online for free or somthing.

Battle Royale by Kousun Takami
It's a bit of The Most Dangerous Game with Lord of the Flies. I will say that this book is very violent and the translation can be a bit klunky at times, so don't expect great prose here. But it is a definate page turner with some good commentary about modern society buried within its pages.
