They are all balanced. NanoTi = ascended Repli's, SL = ascended Goa'ulds, Ancients = ascended Asgard, Tollan = ascended Tauri. But if you ascended, and wish to change race, you have to use a race change AFTER ascension (also, change it to a ascended race. If you click the wrong button, you change to a unascended one. LOL

It is up to you. I only can tell about the ascended races what 'form' they are. I don't know your personal preferences.. but GL.

be a system lord...we are the great ones...i mean..who can resist that name..really System lord. that rocks in my opinion. As for what ascended race to be....Anja are good as they give you a balanced start, but Ori are better for the role playing side...as farm-ed are the ori. although depending what mood im in hallowed are the ori.. 
and then if u are ori..u can bloat out..some religeous cool stuff like.
