i was massed, so i was selling some weaps to repair my weapons, and ionstead of gain DMU from it, i lose it.

i lost 200mill from converting Life force + 400mill from selling.

Unrelated to the bug itself is the reason why Bryan got massed. He asked me to explain in this topic.

I saw someone in ascension that had the DMU to be farmed but had an Omega tag. I looked around and did not recognise such an Omega player, and so, after a while, I decided to attack. I attacked twice for DMU, and then, I was threatened by this player, named impulse, with Omega retaliation, if i continued farming him.

Nevertheless, this worried me a bit, but I still believed that this player was only pretending to be Omegan. The fact that the only impulse in main was a noob with 50k army size didn't help this! But I wasn't going to do anything without first asking people. I asked 4 Omega members that were online at the time (in no particular order: Su, Taxo, Ferra and Wacky - and PMed Rhett, but he still hasn't responded ) if they knew an Omegan that goes by the name of impulse in ascension. After looking into it, they each said that no, they did not.

When four Omegans tell you that they don't know someone to be Omegan, you tend to believe them. Twenty-four hours later or so, I decided to mass impulse, because I felt that it was an insult to my intelligence to be threatened with Omega retaliation by someone that four Omegans denied was even associated with Omega.

And so, Bryan finally came up and told me that he was impulse, and that the whole situation was quite irritating to him, but that he was willing to hear my side of the story before doing anything about it. I respect that, and here I am, telling my side of the story - in the bug forums.

I'll make it clear here: I do not attack Omegans - usually. This is an unusual situation, caused by an unusual event of some Omegans not knowing who is their own.

I'll also add my most humble apologies for this ordeal. Bryan, I truly am sorry that this had to happen. What's done is done, though.

As to this bug... would be fun if it gave you naq when you BOUGHT weapons ...

Yea that's been discussed in length, people can abuse vacation quite easily, admin has promised several fixes but apparently none of them... fixed it.

On a side note - unless you're trying to hide in ascension, especially if you plan on using your alliance for protection, why change your name??? Simply because same thing that happened to you and pookie has happened to me many-a-time now and it frustrates me to no end, if youre gonna use your alliance and your power in main as protection, don't change your name so people don't know who you are! Defeats the point!

there is a fix of sorts for that vacation. you can now only go vac, then have to wait 24hours to go vac again



btw, i notice that half bonuses for vac in ascended doesnt mean anything yet. still get your full bonuses from it

any timeline on when/where/ho/w/if this was a bug and fixing it?

anything on this? this is a very painful bug. if you manage to be lucky enough to get on in time to stop a massing, this bug is very irratately just makes it useless for you

hmmm... looked like some funny math that if you weaps were low enough in power, it might go negative...
i fixed, and tested but next time your weaps are really low, pls let me know if selling returns a) positive and b) what it says it should

update - if you had a big enough number, (above 2.14bil i think) it might have been that too... also fixed.

"Your realm is still too close to the cusp of the black hole it has slid into... or... in other words, you are still within the minimum vacation time of 48 hours from when you declared it."

i cant come off? is this still an issue?

I'm not testing that one, sorry, I don't want to get stuck in vacation mode for two days if you've fixed it.

when i was doing it, you could go vac, then come off straight away. however, you couldnt go vac again for a day

anyway, i really dont want to test the scrap again, ive lost enough from this already

Ehh I'd love to test for ya admin (actually, just like Jake said, I wouldn't, wouldnt want to miss 48 hours heh), but no longer have ascended account. Yea I'm just passing through here.

Jake, bryan - just mass someone that knows about the bug (ie, one of the dozens of guys that's used it and abused it in the past) and see if he comes off in less than 48 hours heh.
