Members only function

I have been hearing alot of complaining about the "planet theives" around the game and how nothing can really be done about it so i was thinking maybe make an "SS players only" feature that at first would just be stealing planets can only be done by those with a full ss (meaning no more 1 dayer account theives without a heafty price for buying SS) and then as ideas roll in more items may/maynot be added to this function, not only would it stop planet theives but it may give incentive to more people to buy SS (although trading is a main cause already).

There are 2 optional ways of doing this A.) make all planetary options SS only ( finding + stealing + any other options ) or B.) just the stealing part so those without SS can still FIND planets but cant STEAL them.

Thoughts Please.

err, what would happen to those who either can't afford it in-game or Real life? They would be left out the loop with planets, and all it does is give more planets to those with SS.

Why not just make it that every fleet needs 5k UU to install it + the naq cost, by the time the multi has put 1000 fleets thats 5million UU, that would stop the multi account planet stealers in 1 go.

lol, I'm just going to hope that's a joke..Although I'll admit it would work... :P

How bout if your army size is under 10k you cant take planets. This will end all of those 'steal then delete' accounts.

No it won't. :P

Cheaters are already willing to create these accounts, and fund the construction of fleets on them, although the naq required for the fleets themselves can be mostly refunded, the hanger capacity can not. If thy're willing to do that, I'm sure they can handle sending out 10k UU..And if that number was raised, then they could simply raid the UU back afterwards. To make things simple, they could even raid the UU with another multi-account..

So..won't work..

The numbers where a joke, but the idea is serious, that would stop planet multis instantly, thats alot of resources to steal a planet from someone that you might not even get to keep yourself.

well firstly if you dont have enough in real life you have to buy ingame (thats what i did, although that was due to not knowing how to do it :-) ) and secondly if you cant afford it ingame then a planet is of no use to you anyway as it will be stolen due to lack of funds for a defence. and as for the SS people having the gain ... well basically thats the point it also gives people more of a reason than already is to want SS AND it settles the theiving problem, and its not like you can say trading/brokering isnt giving those with SS a boost over those without it anyway can you so advantage wise is almost irrelevant besides no matter what you do 1 is always better off than the other.

This is why i was thinking of the conquer function being SS only and not the whole thing so neone can still find a planet and IF you are a good/serious player then you will be able to defend your planets SS or not BUT for those whom shouldnt have a planet in the first place due to lack of account build this rule in use or not will lose their planet anyway which personally i say is better lost to a worthy opponent than a CHEATING COWARD as wolf put it.

yea, i think the ss only thing is a cool idea. they do it in another game i play where only upgraded people can access special areas etc. and trading for ss isnt that hard, just 1000 g&r no chalange there for someone who knows what they're doing
course if this was implemented ppl with planets and no ss would be able to keep em, provided noone steals them

Fair enough... I was just seeing what your arguements for this were...

*Note* I do actually have SS, got it with GnR a few months ago.

while this would destroy most planet thieves, it would make it very hard for most players who do not have ss to get into g&r range, to then get ss...

perhaps the limit could be that either full SS, or having played for at least 1.5 months... this would make it possible for the players who cant afford SS in real life, and who are not in (or almost in) g&r to get planets, while stopping planet thieves...

Too bad you didn't play a year or so, when the game was actually good, no **Filtered** market SS or ppt back then, and yet people managed.

im kinda having trouble understanding this one .... very hard to get into G&R range ... my account has been active for almost 2 years although i only started playing again 2 months ago now yes i have a slight advantage over newbies but i could easliy get into G&R range and i dont rely on planets at all infact until you have a useful army size they are useless (largely due to theives) so i dont really see how it becomes VERY HARD to get into G&R range because of a lack of planets which by the way not all payers have anywayz ... as people say those with high hopes make it places ... you spend 2 weeks with a brand new account raiding you have a usefull account that can afford SS.

most new players dont understand the game fully, as when we started, we thoght it was a good catch when raiding gave about 100 uu... and about being hard, the fact is that players who have planets have a much easier time trying to get into g&r than non-planet players do...
