I would like to see an in game avatar that will be in the User Stats page also in the command center page.

there is already too much lag on the servers, having such images ingame would make it much more laggy...

might be posible if linked to offsite hosts - although that too could cause some lag.

even if server got bigger i can think of lots of things id add before ingmae avatars, like mabye low res graphics, ai accounts, more ship types etc what extra do you get from an avatar?

ppl can see a pic you have of a stargate character so what. there would be like 100's ppl with same avy

i know but id rather see troop images and other things like that

NO!

I like the game as it is--text-based and easy to understand. Adding in lots of graphics will lag it out (server doesn't matter there, it's the bandwidth of your connection). Text is simple, low-bandwidth, and no barrier to anyone with an imagination.

it would cause far to much lag. forum avies are good enough.

I think it might be quite gd to get the game a bit more visual, but if it slows the game up in having avatars, images for troops etc, would it not be possible to make viewing the images optional? i don't know if thats a ridiculous idea that wouldn't work but just a thought..
