covert reports

when i spy on someone i wanna find out everything about them even if it means doing things multiple times. when i spy more than 1 time, on a planet for example, i may have to spy 4 or 5 times to look at all the stats. i hate having to look through 5 or maybe even more reports to find all the stats of the one planet im after or the attak and def of one person.
im suggesting that wenever u spy on somone the data u find out on one report is on the next report as well. basically the data compounds over time. everytime u find new data, such as their attak or defnse lvl is higher, it changes. if their spy lvl gets too high for u to spy on then on ur covert report the stat would go to ?????.

Hear, hear! That's a GREAT idea - thought of it a couple times, but never followed through with a suggestion...

Sure, I can have a text file open and update with each new covert action, but why should I have to? Do our spies have 'chronic' short term memories?

Nope, spying is fine, leave it as it is. Sure it gets annoying, but whats the point in making it easier for lazy people (yes lazy, but never the less true for most people including myself)? Its not like its going to be much of a change anyway.

If you want a full report you should at least work harder for it ;)

It would come in handy when spying planets, which you must spy a ton of times to get any stats. I agree with the idea :-)

while it could be useful, it might be hard to code, as we suspect that the spy report is basically a random result generator, and so would be hard to have it remember old results... and about spying planets, do people have so bad memory that they cant remember those few numbers?

i have a bad memory wen i m looking at 10 planets from the same person and i have to go back and search 20 sumthing logs to find the info i want about 1 planet. i attaked this guy the other day who has 10 planets and they are not defended and they are of all varieties.and it took me 20 to 30 minutes before i could get the data i wanted on one planet.

P.S. can i recieve cash and UU from other players who have SS when i only have MSS. if so ill sell the location of several very good attak, defense, covert, and, naquadah planets that have 0 def on them the
UP planet has 300 defenses on it but the player is inactive.

you can receive naq uu and at from players with FSS, but not use the broker, but you cannot sell planets yet, as a rule in the black market is that you need a 2 week old account and to have 50 posts...

The problem is that every covert report is a snapshot of the situation at the time it was taken. A player may improve his defenses while you're spying on him. You'd end up with a false report.

true.. perhaps information that has come from a previous report (no new info found) could be displayed as a different colour so say you find the defensive power but not attack, then if you find attack power next time (and no new info on defence) the info on defence would be displayed in red text to indicate the information could be out of date.. lol might not work at all but maybe a possibility?

Thats it mate... this would do if we needed it:) I had this colour thing in my head mounths before, when we built a covert database, but i didnt realize that it could be made ingame too:P

BUT

Planets are hard to spy for a reason. If u shortcut this, why is it in the game (i mean the hardening in planet spying).
So thats more like the suggestion, make planets easier to spy or not?
