Planet Thiefs have to much power...

They do have to much power. They get a ms going with 1000 fleets and with less then 30 hits they can mass a 1.5k defence planet down and take it... Then they can sell their fleets or turn on nox so they can only be hit a few times. This needs to stop. My suggestion is you can't damage a planets defences if it is double your fleet strength or higher.

Yes, it is rather unbalanced..At the very least, fleets should be able to be destroyed like in normal combat instead of just the minor repair cost.
Although I still think having motherships defend planets as well would be the best way to deal with this..

There will always be stealing, and there's nothing wrong with that; the problem is with people being able to take planets with a defence nearly 5x (I think) their fleet strength with little effort.

we suggest that it should still be possible to steal planets with 5x defense, but only at a cost higher than it cost the planet owner to buy those defenses... this way, planet thieves will stop, as it would be too expensive...
(yes, this is a joke...)

there are a few possible solutions.
1: if your planet is hit by a fleet strength less then half the planet defences then it is not damaged. (this way they will have to work a bit harder to take them can just get 700 mil fleet and mass a 4 bil planet down)
2: if they hit a planet with double the force as them they loose so much % of their ships along with damage costs.

u just dont get it do u ppl it doesnt matter how u limit or screw them over they will take ur planets either way...even with that update no sending MS after a planet hiest they still stealing
its becuase of there Anounimity(sp) that makes them have all the power take that away and thats pretty mcuh it

to be "safe u can take a planet with 20% they def, its too unbalanced"
PROPOSED: if u attack with,
0% to 20%, u fleets r destroyed
20% to 50%, nothing hapens
50% to 75%, make small demage on planets defs
75% to 100% make some demage on planets defs
100%+ take the planet!

MS Fleets are already the most expensive thing you can purchase in SGW (at high levels) - the price of MS Fleets versus Fleet strength goes up at a geometric rate, like UP does. If you want 2x the planet defense, you spend 2x the naq, but if you want 2x the fleet power, you spend 4x the naq. That's not fair enough for you?
If you can't afford planets, don't keep them - pretty simple. Buy something more affordable - here's a little breakdown for you of what you can buy with equivalent amount of naq (for a Go'uald, 400mill naq per 1k uu on the black market):

So you wasted money on useless planet defenses - maybe you should've wasted it on useless main defenses or useless MS defenses instead - you would've got more for your money! If admin grants you indestructible planets then they should also grant everybody indestructible defenses as well, because it's just as pointless to the game.

15 BILL def for a normal planets (cheaper) = 200 BILL NAQ
3 BILL power FLEETS 202.033.650.000 NAQ.
u need defend 10 PLANETS and only need 1 fleets!
thats 2 TRILL in defence against 200 BILL in flets,
ins't right!
