Race change

After you ascend if you change your race from one ascend race type to another ascended race type (i.e. System Lord to Ancient) Do you loose all your bonuses and such or is there no ill effects?

Yes I read on the name change and I think I understand it but I would rather be safe then sorry.

No ill effects whatsoever, you lose or gain nothing so long as you go from one ascended race to another.

you are screwed if you choose a base race though, so dont do that.
