can i buy planets with defense

can i buy planets that have a defnse on them if i had SS
would it say in the broker screen, trade planet to such and such person in return for UU/ naq, just like any other trade?

Trading planets is similar to trading MTs, as you do not use the broker to exchange them.

The concept of buying planets is; you pay, then you conquer the planet from the seller, so no you can't have defense on it since all defense is negated when conquering it. Planet trades are done off record so just be careful who you trade with

(made that quote up) but thats just how i see the rationality for destroying all previous defense. bit annoying if u ask me but we cant get around it
