Monthly Random Effect

Add an effect system that happens every month for every person.
It should be random and can either be good or bad. Each player gets something different. This could help both noobs and veteran players.
Good Effects:
Population Boom: UU per day is increased by X% for that month
Economic Boom: Naq is increased by X% every turn
Propaganda Success: Def and Atk Troops are X% increased in strength
Bad Effects:
Plague: UU per day lowered X%
Resource Shortage: Naq decreased X% every turn
Propaganda Failure: Def and Atk Troops are X% weaker in strength
There can be a lot of other effects, but there are some examples. Anyone like this idea?

Like intergalactic weather or something... Interesting. There would have to be a "weather report" or some kind of newsflash thing like the special announcements we've had for recent server downtime. That and it would probably be better to have such occurences more frequently than every month, but for a much shorter duration. Like one good day and one bad day every week.

I can see your idea, but what happens when
Someone gets 2 months in a row where its a negative thing, there would be complaints like no before, or, what if one month u got say 10% boost to UU production but the following month you got 20% reduction in UU production, there would be even more complaints,
With some planning ahead it could possibly work though.

Maybe this would be better as a chaos suggestion?
But its different and i like

nice idea...
perhaps the bonuses could be at fixed values? so it wouldnt end up with the above +10% one month, -20% next month thing...
but we also agree that the times could be shorter... like every week... and that there would also be perhaps 2 times more chance for no effect...

sounds good to me

but i would have to agree with zeratul about the times of the effect becasue you wouldnt want to lose a percentage of ur up/income/attk and def strength for 1 month. i would say 1 week too so you would have 4 different effects every month instead of just one.

I agree with idea, but I think that everybody should have option to take risk or not. I mean, somebody wants to ascend and he has a minimum up needed and he doesn't want to upgrade it, on this way he'd be able to 'make artificial envirement' so he couldn't get any good or any negative effects because of this. He'd also have to pay don't know, 10 bilions naq to 'build' such envirement. OR this UP should go to Total UP but I think my first idea is better. I think that times should be shorter as some others do. It should be 1 week and negative or positive effects should last only a week till next "weather" change. So if you'd get aditional let's say 1000 UP first week and you'd lose 2000 UP next week, you'd acctualy be in minus for 2000 UP second week, but if you would then get in third week 3000 aditional UP you would have instead of 2000 UP (1000 UP - 2000 UP + 3000 UP) you would have 3000 UP because every week bonuses, no matter what they are, would reset. I think this would be better. This shouldn't increase or deacrease your Income, Defence & Attack,Unit per Day for any big amounts, let's say up to 10% of each, on that way S T I (just using him cause I'm sure he has enormous defence) wouldn't get another i.e. 300 bil defence, but he'd only get let's say 30 bil defence.

i like the idea.
if theres a way to make it completely random then noone should complain. coz then its just bad luck lol or good luck as the case may be

perhaps there should also be limits that say you cant get one bonus for more than 2 weeks in a row...
it would perhaps be easier to have the weather thing working like planets, so perhaps having them add to total up would be easier than to base up...
if they were to work like planets, one would also have the bonuses fixed already...

I like the idea, it would need some tweeks by admin.
But it would bring another element to the game

interesting but maybe you can chose whether to hav random effects happen to you or not, a sort of on off button. but u cant just swith it off every week to manipulate it to just allow stat boost and minimise loses (maybe 1 month delay before u can chose randomness or not). frankly im fine with how im doing and dont want randomness to effect my acct.

its pretty cool. i know loads of people will complain when it comes out tho, but if its announced to be coming out and people are given time to object then we can just ignore the complainers

good idea, i agree it should be random, but not random, ok ur thinking WTH, what i mean is that you cant have the same thing 2 times in a row, i.e you cant get a increse in UP one week then a decrese/increse in UP the next week but this would make it a little less fair cause then you have a bigger probability of getting a negative effect
