Don't pay any attention to BalletBored since he doesn't play anymore and probably wasn't that good to begin with.
To answer your question as a follow-up to your earlier thread (which you probably should have added to):

If you were both at war and you couldn't hit him, he was probably phased due to having his realm alert and nox turned on. Once his attack counter drops, he will be unphased and you can hit him again.
