Does seeing peoples planets and DMU depend on your covert or your influence power?
I have maybe 4 times my friends Covert power, yet I can't see his resources...
Also, if Influence power does have something to do with this, does anyone have an idea how much?

I believe it's based on covert, but your covert needs to be signiciantly above the other person's. You can still spy on them and succeed even if they're ??????? to you, but it is risky of course since you don't know.

Well I lied, I only have 3 x's his covert. Does anyone know what the magic # is to be able to see peoples resources?
I think it's crazy that in main, you need 1/5 their covert to see their naq, but in ascended, even 3 x's their covert isn't enough to see dmu...

well in mian you only got 1 home planet and a MS maybe (the additional planets are also harder to spy) so there should no big problem for a intelligence service to gather information, esp if its better then the opponents one.
in ascension we are talking about whole galaxys (1 mil+ planets) that might have to be checked by your cover units to get a few detailed numbers. so i think its more realistic that you need a lot more coverty to suceed in this mission. i think your cover needs to be slightly higher then 3 times of targets coverty. about 3.25 or something.
