Rules to be Able to Post in SGW general

something has to be done to stop these posts about random websites. apparently SGW has been targetted by a spam network because they think that we are all suckers. something should be done... perhaps waiting period before being able to post, or a section you have to post in before your account is validated

I think that before you are allowed to post anything with html in it you should have to have 10 posts.
And before you can post anything in SGW general you must have 5 posts...
I agree, it is rather annoying

html isn't allowed period.
we did have anti-spambot stuff installed, but apparently it doesn't work so well anymore.

I meant like against posting links, and or even color and whatnot. Atleast until the account has a few posts under its belt.

limiting BB code? this means no one would even be able to quote people :/

How much does a person who just signed up for the forum really need BB coding? By just making the requirement to use it, say 5 posts, it could potentially prevent alot of the current problems, I think

Bump. I think one of these ideas needs to be considered, or something else has to be looked into...

Its getting silly now, one of them even asked how to fix his car.
And the other told us to perve over his girl

its even sillier when bots get into small largely inactive forums. in here its was too annoying

For the most part, these "attacks" are merely a minor thing which is maybe 2 posts max. Limiting user privileges is not needed until we are under massive spam bot attacks where its largely intrusive to the community.

1. get more mods to keep it clean
2. update that software thing that prevents this
3. limit to 5 post before doing anything special and stuff like those post things
4. or we fight spam with spam we spam them with SGWs stuff
