Casualties are based on the damage inflicted against each side and the number of troops (and to a certain extent type of troop) trained for that purpose, ie. the more defenders they have, the more casualties they suffer; the more attackers you have, the more casualties you would suffer.

He won't die. The casualties are relative to the size of their forces. With such a small 'army' that fella won't suffer any casualties.
