PPT and planets

When you purchase PPT i think is should only affect your home planet. so that while some on is on ppt their planets can still be taken. Then i thought about it more and the option of buying ppt for certain planets came up. Perhaps this option could be in the planet management page and limited to a certan number a week.

then this made me think even further, if some one was on ppt and there planets were not, why not let them use those planets? example using an attack planet to attack someone, obviously with only the planets power.

Anyway, the last part is kinda just a pipe dream but the PPT for different planets in the realm could still be relevant? Discuss

thats a great idea but you have one big problem with it - the bank

the idea would have to have the bank as a planet that can be individually attacked and defended - unless you have it on permanent PPT - an idea but usage restrictions would have to be able to be implied.

yes - a very good idea and it would push the game to a new level of quite literal system domination - if the administrators read this, i would make it quite a suggestion

it will, however make the game quite complex compared to the relatively simplistic form atm, whereby we will have to be able to transport defense armies and defense technology and weapons to those planets, making them so independent - further captures will become more devastating/beneficial and will make quite a bigger impact in the game. dont get me wrong, i think that will be AWAESOME but i think that it will take a lot of time

lol~

another thing....
I doubt that forum will ever let planets be that independent again

*remembers a time when planets alone brought down the highest def*

I think your planets should go on PPT with you. Their in your solar system and i think PPT is designed to protect your little section of the galaxy. However I like the individual planet PPT's is a good idea, maybe cost a little less but just protect one planet or protect them all.

What people neglect or understand what ppt stands for is Protected Planets Treaty. A plural on planets and it makes sense that you would have your entire planet stock under protection for the 48 hours that it gives.

All planets should be affected by a PPT. No other "Seperate" planet PPT, otherwise you can simply stay on a PPPT (:-D) forever, and not bother with a defence.

Alternate Idea - given the mother ship takes part in a battle if it inst out searching for planets, why not be able to attack with it alone. it would mean that if the defender didn't have a mother ship, they wouldn't have any damage done to their defense if under a certain power and the 2 mother ships battle if the defender does. - the mothhership would simply beam away the goods - obviously, this would be cheaper than attacking through the gate but you could either put limitations on the amount of naq/uu that can be stolen or you allow the cargo storage area to be uploaded the same as weapons, shileds and hangars. obviouly these would have the be able to be destroyed bu much less than the others - lets say (for arguments sake) that for every 50 hits that get through to destroy weapons, 1 takes out a storage compartment.

also, if it takes - say 5 seconds - to make the attack and return, you can get a much bigger return but it will still take a time before you can attack target 2.

further, mother ship attacks could use more attacks - you need to have say 5 attacks to use the mother ship in the attack and for what now costs 15 at's, would cost say 50

Just one question.......

Why?

if all your doing is flying there, beaming stuff and flying away, there are no costs - it wouldn't cost you anything because there is no fighting and it wont cost them anything because their defenses aren't needed. thats if their defenses are below a certain strength

also, you can get ALL their naq or uu in one hit so bigger payoff quicker
