Race Change Timing

Does anyone know how long race change bonuses take to take effect. i.e. I changed from Tollan to System Lord, how long will it take to see the 25% income bonus?
It doesnt seem to be immediate.

There is no bonus difference between ascended races.

No wonder!!! So are there any benifits of being any of the Ascended races? Or is it all just based on your ascension bonuses?

Weapons are more powerful so you need less units for the equivilant unascended strike or defence which means less losses, each of your first 6 ascensions gives you 5% bonus to each stat, so not only can you have 25% extra income, you can have 30% while having the same bonus on covert, strike and defence, you also have free banking on all ascended races and then there is the ascended blessing which has the chance of doubling your strike or defence action on an attack or defence, finally, ascended get more merc control upgrades so that you can buy more mercs, which is another good thing for losses.

To further define the point, there is NO difference (other than name) of any of the ascended races in main. Bonus wise, they are the same. The race you become in main merely reflects the race you were when you ascended: Goa'uld - System Lords, Tauri - Tollan, Asgards - Ancients, Replicators - NanoTiMasters. Other than that, there is no difference (and no benefit) in switching ascended races.

Yes thats too bad. I wish meybe in future there will be some diferences between ascended races - meybe depends on yours ascended accout or sth. like that.
Or least your super soldiers would have different names - like for example - System lords would have that black anubis guys - jaffas, replicators would have asurans, ee tollans hehe dont have a clue and ancients - atlantians...

i think that is good that on main server are all ascended races equal... ascended server is like main server with basic races. every race has it's own benefits..

Yea, dunno why he hasn't done something about it. But I'm quite happy with my cheaper defense weapons.
