Announcement from the Tauri Alliance

The Tauri Alliance wants to explain its actions in truth, on the record, to quell the rumors and half-truth "telephone game" style inconsistencies that have been going around. The Tauri Alliance has recently added a few new members. Those that have been around SGW since or near the beginning probably have noticed this. As with any alliance, we are on the lookout for powerful players joining us. CoP have picked up quite a few big players over the course of their recruitment drive, with numerous ones being those they've warred with in the past.
In our case those big players have had a huge past with Omega. It is common knowledge that these players have also been under the gun from Omega for a long time, and vice versa. As these players were originally TA, and for the actions of the original TA members,and those joining shortly after, we've always held a scarlet letter on the TA for this even though most have realized that the established members, and leadership in the TA were not in power or present in that era. Most quit, some joined or created other alliances. Ben, and metal messiah went to Old Skool TA, which had no formal link with the TA. 70 percent of this game's existence, at least, has past since most of the original left the TA, and from time to time some of our members remained in contact with a few of these players. Now in the present, there has been a "coming home" of sorts. In the past few months we've added a few old TA players back. We've added evilhomer, who once led the alliance bravely. We accepted Eix and Fury back. Now we've recently added ben and metal messiah. As most know their history between them and Omega, their addition obviously looks aggressive. We realize that Omega take that as a sign we were planning something. We also realized internally that if we added them, that it would look aggressive to Omega.
Because of this we lowered our defcon level to two. Over the past few weeks, there have been a few aggressive actions that have taken place. A small spark could start a war that many don't want. As such this message is intended to clear the air, and reduce tensions that have been building. All players inside the TA take military orders from the HC. If they don't follow our lead, then they will be gone, as with any player inside the TA/TATS. We are saying that there is no war planned against any CoP alliance, and there is no aggressive action that the TA wants to make upon any CoP alliance. Our lead will be followed, or the member involved in actions that are against the HC's wishes, will be dealt with.
We wish to focus on the similarities our alliances share. Our alliances have members who respond to account killings. We dislike scammers, multi's, account thieves, inappropriate names, wishing ill towards players, and offensive pm's. We have members since the beginning or shortly thereafter who have played this game good and hard. Our players have been involved in many wars and know what they do to one's account, and know that a war based on "stupid" reasons is not a good war at all. We've all been in conflicts, and have read about numerous conflicts that have started over "stupid" reasons. We do not want to give a good reason, nor have a "Stupid" reason crop up, that could lead to war.
We feel that adding these members does not give a "good" reason for a war, but it puts us on the radar and rash actions by any member of our alliances could start war. So as you are watching us, you'll being watching us do nothing towards you.
Recently we reformed our strike teams, as in the past few wars we've fought mostly as one entity. A long time ago we had 3 strike divisions in TA, however it just didn't work during the time. Now this go round, some members had the choice of saving naq for a certain strike, or building one. Thats why some of our strikes have gone up. Not as a prelude to war with CoP, but as a logistical step internally to the alliance.
We've also had some reports of tensions, and a few TA/TATS members did sell off defense, some sold off attack and defense. These movements coincided with each other, and as some aggressive actions have taken place upon us, no one can say that we weren't concerned of a strike against us, not started by us.
Ben, metal, and dean are not being harbored for a strike upon any CoP alliance. We also do not feel we are being used as no war upon CoP will start from TA members including them. We do not take you for fools, and understand that the buildup from your side has come in response. I remember that "used" word on the forum a very long time ago, however this is not the case here. They are not high council and do not have one vote in anything we do. There has in the past been sworn enemy remarks, so as such we understand the feelings it evokes when some of these people join us. As is the case conversely, many in the TA feel that there are CoP members who feel that they are "sworn enemies" of the TA. History shows us that very clearly in our minds, and much of that feeling goes back to the scarlet letter remark I made earlier.
We now go out of our way to avoid confrontation with any CoP alliances on the record. I and the rest of the HC order NO unprovoked hostile actions against any CoP alliance. Anybody within TA or TATS that spouts a bunch of bull about attacking, will be dismissed from the TA/TATS and face much tougher measures against them.
We extend a "no aggressive actions policy" towards the CoP alliances as a clear and truthful sign of our alliance's intentions, knowing that to avoid war, someone must break through the communications barrier, and extend an olive branch.
The TA will not start a war with any CoP alliance, there is no grand conspiracy, we hope that this message shows them and everyone, on the record, just that, and hope that the feeling is mutual.
