they have to, otherwise the number of ranked tauri tollan in top 1000 would be less, the same for the asguard/ancients and goauld/system lords- all those powers would drop hugely if ascended races did not count,

They don't. The amount in the top 1000 for each race doesnt add up to what it should if it did.
