Mercenary Marketplace

I'd like to respectfully suggest that the code used to add mercs to the market be changed to a random time, rather than 23 seconds after the turn. By doing this, it would help all players be able to purchase mercs rather than a few players who are circumventing the purchase limit from getting them all. By making it random over the 30 minute turn, any player could drop into the merc screen and have a reasonable chance that there might be mercs available. Additionally, it would provide a more balanced game by preventing those who abuse the system from suppressing other players's purchases.

Thanks for considering this enhancement.

I suggested this before in another topic but it deserves its own topic. Good suggestion.

agreed, good idea... but maybe have them appear anywhen during the turn, instead of just varying it a few seconds?

great idea, has to be done. maby a random amount at random points throughout the turn, but the total not exceding the current total

never above one amount, never below another... to make sure that always mercs come, but never too many nor too few... (people need not bother to say, "there can never be too many"...)

Considering the monsterous amount of people who play, mercs are rediculously hard to come across.

it would be nice to have even more Mercs,

maybe a "merc refill day" event?

small events would be nice, like raid % increase, or UP% increase day! or such like that... hmm new topic time.

by "merc refill day", what do you mean?

and those small event thingies, do you mean:
1. Random occurences?
or
2. some sort of new merc type/thing?

if you mean the first, we believe there was a topic on it some time ago, but unfortunately nothing evolved from it...

I have never had any problem getting mercs when I want them.

Try getting a faster connection.

Try buying them at a different time of the day.

it isnt that hard, but currently it is quite boring when all mercs dissappear on the turn...
would be better if people actually had to check at random times to get them... and it would add another element of randomness...

you mean forced to hit refresh every couple seconds for 30mins instead of for 1 min..............seems like it screw things up even more

no, we think it could cause that when one wants to buy mercs, one can check the market, and most likely there will be at least a few there... and it will make the game more interesting, as there will no longer be the "wait for turn, mad clicking, wait for turn, mad clicking, wait for turn, mad clicking, etc..." thing... which is quite boring...

EDIT: it will also make it harder for all those that use tamper data to buy mercs, which is illegal, and would give everyone fair chance at getting mercs...

besides, mercenaries dont just appear in equal numbers at set times in real life, so why here?

boring...........that isnt a valid complaint ...someone could say raiding is boring............or waiting for more turns or covert capacity is boring.......but that aint changing...rofl

if you want mercs you can get them and you know when you can

if this random thing was done............you woudlnt be able to get them when you want them, and you would have no idea when you can buy them

it aint like forum even reads these forums anymore, so there is no point in even trying to convince him..........lol

we know the last thing isnt really a valid complaint... and we really havent all that much problem with the current way it is, but it could be better...

while forum doesnt read the forum all that much, he does read it every now and then, and there are other admins here, and they might keep him up to date on the more popular suggestions and such...
