I notice a few people who post inflamatory comments on a fairly regular basis who no longer play.

How should they be treated?

Second one.....still members of the community even if not ingame.

Of course, if they only try to talk big and start wars because they know nothing will happen to them....well, they should definitely be ignored.

What I find odd about it all, is that they must have a weird logic to decide that they don't play any more but they still want to cause trouble (this obviously doesnt apply to those who simply check up on how old friends are doing from time to time), it's got to be some kind of insecurity, I mean to have a need to get a reaction from people who cannot even influence anything to do with that persons life... It's pretty odd behaviour. It's like they get off on people being annoyed with them or something.

I can think of three cases that spring to mind straight away, but I'm pretty sure there have been and will be many more. I just don't know how to deal with these people. I've met a few like this in life... often the kids who got bullied at school, but to be perfectly honest, they often brought it upon themselves... Never could figure out what they gained from it, I suppose the only thing that they could gain from it could be attention... In which case they must all like this thread :D

Gee, this isn't because of my comments in the Talon vs. REK thread is it?

I don't play anymore. Does that mean my comments should be ignored? No way.

I'm still apart of this community whether it be on the forums or in-game, and have every right to post.

And you're calling other people attention seekers. Haha.

I'm with Magni on this one. Wether you still play, have quit or have never even started playing this game should not matter. This goes both ways, these people are still bound by the rules. The only problem with non-playing forumers is that it's not as easy to control them. That's just too bad for those forumers with big honkin accounts and attitudes to match that like to bully others around. Threats of massing mean awfully little to those who have no account to mass.

I agree with all the options, to some degree.

Some ex-players are very respected and have great knowledge of the game and the community, others are people who try to take advantage of the fact that they no longer have an account ingame.
