Weird Spy Log

A friend of mine just reconned me for fun and suceeded. His recon is about 3.6 times greater than mine. His spy log shows the recon, but mine shows nothing. No "???????" anywhere, just nothing.
Is this some kind of new game mechanic? Or is it a bug?
If it is a new mechanic, I must say that it is total BS - such a small disparity in covert power should NOT give such an enormous advantage.

So u complaining about u cant see someon spyed you?
Cause its normal... U cant see...
U only see the unsuccesfull coverts on you...
IF u spied your friend and u cant see anything, read the message at the top of the page, cause half of your spies are dead...
BTW in both cases, this is a newbie section material...

actually if you're spy is real close to his you can either see who spied you or just ???????? even if they were successful

I'm pretty sure he's talking about the covert turns... If you can't see absolutely anything but a blank white screen, then you have used up all of your covert turns. Covert turns are what allow you to spy or sabotage. If you check in your command center, you should be able to find how many you have. A covert turn recharges every ingame turn, or every half an hour, and you can only store a max of 50 of them.

lol noo....if you read his thread it says
HE was spied by a friend. so covert turns arnt issue.
If your successfully spied you wont see the report. Since how would you know you have been spied? if spies have got info undetected your not gonna know about it
but if u catch them, then you get the spy log saying you stopped them.
you only see ????? from sabotage
