Not getting a bank bonus from a market ppt is lame and forces new people to pay money to make there accounts like those of the big guys. Bank size should be made a technology that you would have to upgrade it to increase the size of your bank.

So it would be something like:

Level 1 - +5% total = 5% 100mil

Level 2 - +5% total = 10% 200mil

Level 3 - +5% total = 15% 400mil

Level 4 - +5% total = 20% 800mil

So the price would increase like spy levels. (those are just random numbers I dont know what would be fair)

So how are us 'smaller' players supposed to increase our bank sizes now?

Don't say buy miners, cause we can't bank the naq to buy miners in decent amounts.

Not many people want to sell UU, 10k at a time, which is all i can hold, and since Market PPT no longer increases our banks, things are gonna get much harder.

The only way i can see things happening is me buying lots of weapons that i could lose at any time, and then selling them for 80% of the original naq put into them, not the most cost effective, but it's the only solution i have at the moment.

Just like i said before

Due to the fact the over bank is stopped
Bank should be kept the same as it has been
I want to ascend soon and was planing to fill my bank to rebuild my shell
Now if i fill my bank i wont be able to rebuild properly
Please change this back
Smaller members will never get a chance to grow as the market is costing more than the bank space they have therefore making larger guys have an even bigger advantage

There was talk of starting a Poll back in another thread before it got locked. Forum got the count to 4 Yes Votes.

I'd like to see how far it went...

General thoughts are that since OverBanking has been stopped, mPPTs giving increased bank space is more important now than it ever has been.

I say again this should be voted upon, only with a huge win should it be kept as its just penalising small players or those that can only dedicate a small amount of time each day.

I mean generally I play for a max of abour 14mins each day atm. Thats not enough to find good UU farms & raid them and do everything else sgw related. I liked been able to save slowly, I may not be fast but i get there, well got there. Now i wont get a chance too

I want it back as well. how are we supposed to gather resources now? max turns are 10k, max naq is mere bills we`re getting from mere miners... it changes whole system now. we can have max bank only from miners TILL we get fss, but why gawd we have to suffer this and after that. I want overbank for FSS! just like it was.

I would also like it back to the way it was

this change just seems to penalize the small and/or every so often players (ie once a day or less).

Like Kit-Fox said lets put it to the vote its the only way to show the general feeling about it. Also does anyone else think the updates where implimented quite quickly after they where announced? Linked with this is the "bank leaking" not much time was left before it takes effect, it would of been better with a few days to make sure everyone knows about it.

I too would like the bank increase back or at least a replacement way to increase it. Though if it was a replacement that gave increase to bank size price increases (if there even should be a price increase =/) should be more along the lines of UP price increase not the double price jump of spy levels. I am about to ascend soon and I can't remember whether or not doing so resets your bank capacity but if it does I will go from having 1.4 tril bank space built up over nearly a year of 2 PPTs a week for that very purpose to a trifling small amount.

If for some strange reason the bank size increase is not added back to the Market bought PPT and no ready replacement is made then we would need EVERY single bank of EVERY player reset so those that have tens of trillions of bank space don't get to keep that when they should only have space for a few hundred billion naq. So long as the chance for growth was equal across the board range bank sizes weren't that big of an issue particularly with over banking possible for newer players, however if the banking system is left as is it gives hugely unfair advantage to large players. If the entire system was reset it would put the market economy in something of a recession and encourage players to trade in smaller incremeants which would help smaller players because they would then be able to save enough up to deal in the lots that sellers are willing to work with.

P.S. I too believe that a vote is needed. Players should be able to vote from their base page, this would allow everyone a chance to vote and prevent skewed results because of people having multiple forum accounts.

i agree with the first person to respond, making banking a technology is an amazing idea. Of course it would get exponentially more expensive to stunt extreme growth, but it would help the little guy a lot more.

So, in other words, someone who logs in once a day for a few seconds and just banks naq should be on equal footing with someone who spendsd the time to grow their account? I don't believe for a second that anyone honestly believes that.

If you want to grow/gather resources, raid. It is that simple. You raid for UU, trade the UU for AT, use the AT to raid for UU. Even small players can do this. If you need full SS, either buy it or earn it through G&R.

As far as the larger players having an easier time, that is a function of the game itself and not this update. The game has an exponential growth (You buy AT, raid UU, train miners, make more naq, buy more AT, etc.) which means larger players will ALWAYS be able to grow more quickly. Bank size, market costs, and all the other crap people whine about has little to do with it. Unless the fundamentals of the game itself changes (for example, AT prices directly correlated to ones size or something else equally screwy), no update will significantly alter this inequit of power. I'd suggest people stop worrying about hiow easy others have it and strive to just outplay everyone their own size. You do that long enough, and before you know it you won't be so far off from the big boys.

Ok if I've missed this in the updates info page then I apologize, but could someone find exactly where it says if you re-ascend it erases your bank size increase you've had from before? I haven't read anything saying it would do that so I don't know where you're getting this idea from.

And Dudey, how pray tell can you not afford to re-build after ascention if you fill up your bank before hand? You should be able to hold WELL over 1tril naq in your bank, so how in the world can you not rebuild with that? Between your bank size and the sheer amount of naq you can generate on a ppt your more than well off enough to rebuild your account, all you need do is fill your bank and plan your ascention ppt's wisely and you'll have plenty to get back on your feet with.

I lived in the era before ascension, PPTs on the market, etc.
I left the game and returned later to find a very different game to the one I started.

There are still ways to increase the amount you can have but you need to be adaptable. With every update there is a new twist, adapt evolve to each one that is the way of success.
