Merc bug

I went to purchase some untrained mercs a short time ago. I was prevented from doing and given the following message:
While I am at my trained merc limit, I should be able to purchase as many untrained mercs as I want. The summary message at the top of the page reads:
Admin had posted in a thread not too long ago that he felt untrained mercs were a good way to "bank" naq because they could not be destroyed and there was no limit on the number you could have.
I suspect the program logic that checks the overlimit amount is including untrained mercs when it should not be. Admin?
That would put you over your maximum merc limit!
