While I can understand not being able to change your realm alert level while under a nox insurance policy, the fact that they both cost 3 turns to change is where my complaint comes in.
If your under nox and on crit and you want to go on none for awhile then it costs you 6 turns to go to none then another 6 to go back to crit. It would be better if changing your realm alert level simply reset your nox insurance policy. but kept you on nox.

2) Nox was never meant to protect you during war. If you are at war with someone, or your alliance is in total war, the NOX will not protect you.
What exactly is it supposed to protect you from then?
People not at war massing you?
I thought you are supposed to be phased or something if the attack limit is reached? Is that not the risk you take? You prevent being annhilated, but you get phased?

if ur at war with some1 then it doesnt protect you but if sum1 attacks you and your not at war with them, then it does protect you

nox does protect you but you cant anylonger use it as a free ppt by changing defcons randomly (esp if you got some friends attacking you to raise your phase count). and thats a good thing!
now you will have to pay the full price for protection. concerning the 6 turns you loose when changing them. Oh c'mon... 6 turns... thats nothing! be happy that your AT dont run in reverse while being phased...
