Should there be a galaxy map where you gan gain/loose territory?

I could make / edit a galaxy map useing Paint. Someone find me a link to a good map and I will edit it for our purposes.

if u wore too do that that would be so cool show ur borders moveing back and forth that would be sweet and if u take someones land they have to serve u haha

It would be great having a message saying that someone has surrendered their territories to you, then you can go in and clear it and take all technology in it ie. ancient weapons

i think that for now this feacure shoud not be implimanted...but wen it will...i have some more adds to that idea....

i woud have at the start a amoun of teritory....for every click u get on yor link u shoud get a extra amount of teritory.......wen u attack someone and win then u woud be able to get some more teritory from that person...with a couple of "prizoners" wich ...with a random factor...if they accept they woud be implemented as mercenaries in yor army(like u got 40 prizoners....declerd ded by the one u attack...and with the random factor it shows that out of 40.... 5 woud want to join u and spere ther fait of being executed...then u woud be able to train them in attack/defence mercenaries)........back to the teritory problem....it must have a mesurment...and for every unit of teritory u woud get a + on yor naq income/turn....

idea insipered from a couple of other online games....:)...but it woud be nice to see who hase the control over the most amount of teritory....

hmm, an interesting idea. but how do we avoid the crunch on real estate as more and more people join? maybe if we had more of a sub-division (like systems or something). and that these systems are divided by rankings. btw, anybody play utopia? im thinking of the kingdoms idea.

Unless memership is locked for the rest of the wave creating a system map will be hard , the moving borders idea is really cool but yet agian it seems hard to implement the mercs idea is nice it is a fact of stargate that when two gould's war the jaffa of the losing gould join the winner few that don't get sent to prison camps if this concept were to be applied univerasally it would be great of coruse converting whatever u got to basic unit in my case untrained jaffa or untrained millitary pion ............
Also i think the game would be far much random if gate adrress were implemnted adn the further the gate you are attacking the less punch you have (some might aruge the transpoting thourgh a stargate takes little effort and it does but could u imagine transpoting 100 jaffa and gate weopns or cannons through a gate for a strike it woul take some effort there should be restriction so that only palyers in the realtive same geogaphic area can war that way allainces will be far more effective as oposed to eing all over the board .
just the thoughts of a deranged sun god i'am gona go and make the sun set now peace let me know what u think :wink:

I think they would be all but impossible to implement. It would require a ton of work to set up...I mean think of all the work that is already on their plates...unless one of the administrative people of Stargate Wars tells me that they could do it...then I would support this effort 250%...

u can alwais have a auto generating map....a lot of wark for that but it woud be exclusive...and it will have a very good impact on new and veterans players.....

this will not be implemented for this game.
although.... there just *might* be another SG game in development that would support this...

Though to address the previous questions, i think it could work kind of abstracted. Divide the map into several "regions of space", but make it a good number of them. Then, when you click on the region, you are given a list of players like we get currently when we click attack. This way new players can simply be added to the regional list, avoiding the real estate crunch and there would still be a nice galaxy graphic to drool at.

However, its all a moot point apparently hehe.

I don't know much about HTML but i pretty much guessed that these ideas would be impossible to implement :D
The map idea would've been cool holds the sun in place in atticipation of forum's new game Prepare for endless sunshine LOL

I realize its not gonna happen anytime soon if at all but the officers could be planets or moons around their commanders planet
