Phasing

The boundaries of war seem to transgress those of corporal ones. In other words, you being at war with the attacker --individually or via alliance-- allowed them to attack you as the Nox will not step into the middle of a war....
When I'm phased, people who are at mutual war can attack me...
but I can't attack them...
this seems highly unfair!
I think the attacking should go both ways...

if your phased your "repairing" so you shouldnt get to be able to attack. the nox should at least step in while you cant attack (ie. while phased) regardless of if you are at war with the attackers.
eitha that or you can attack those who you are at war with while phased

starry, that's why few people are declaring war, and it's wisest for alliances to not declare war either! I suspect those attacking you don't have you set to war and their alliance has not accepted the war declaration making it an all-out war.
This is why I felt it would kind of be nice to have an auto alliance war declaration instituted that would trip if any 3 members of one alliance were massing (say 10 hits per turn) within an hour period on another alliance. However doing something like that would be incredibly complex as well it would likely heavily slow the server down.

Would be nice to have such a thing but as you said, probably murder to implement and have running. It would have to be maintaining a hit counter for anyone in the game who is in an alliance hitting someone else in an alliance.

What I can think of here is:
You were phased out by someone with which you don't have a 2 way war set... So you got phased... After that I think you can't attack anyone with 2 way war too... Because you are phased.
I think if you have 2 way war with someone, that certain someone cant phase you out, sou you can attack him as long as you want.
But I see a chance of abuse...
Because like in this war, every alliance can set war to max 3 alliances, than imagine if the other alliances in the war phasing them, so they cant attack...

I'm not quite sure this pertains to this latest addition to nox, but would it be possible to have nox reset the attack count back to 3 hits below the phase point at the turn of each turn?
How it's working now you get a friend set to war, you set nox and nox hits actually count against your policy even though you're at war with the person hitting you. So to remedee this, instead of working so that all war is excluded from the nox policy (I don't see this being an easy thing to program), but rather have nox reset the counter to 3 hit below phase point to allow that person to become unphased at the beginning of each turn long enough to be hit.

Ok so I've tested being phased, and there is something in the code that starts converting undefended attacks into defended attacks if you go way over the nox limit due to someone being set to war with you.

ok so it does reset the nox hit count to 155 hits no matter how far over you are over your limit. Also it decreases at a rate of 4 hits per turn giving you 5 more turns to be safe from being hit.

Maybe you shouldn't be allowed to attack more then 5 members of an alliance within a few hours unless your at war with the alliance?

which sorta defeats the purpose of having a war button...o.o

ah, but people are abusing attacking and not using the war button which would void their precious nox.

the whole nox/phasing thing has been bug central from the get go. whether it was too many attacks allowed, spying problems, being attacked while can't attack, holes to get more attacks on phased people, etc. etc. etc.
the whole thing should be scrapped/simplified for a time so all the bugs can be worked out and then properly implemented.
