Planet disappeared

I had a planet in my list. I clicked on the planet list, changed the name, clicked the rename planet button and it disappeared. I even screen captured the next screen that came up because I sat there for a second thinking "Did I just accidentally click the abandon button?" but there was no "Planet abandoned" message on the screen. I was/am on PPT, no attack was possible, and nothing shows up in the attack logs.

Where did the planet go, admin?

Was the planet recently taken? Maybe the person you took it from took it then ascended?

Planet was acquired at least 24 hours ago (I was able to rename it earlier this morning) so unless that functionality is broken, I don't see how they could have taken it. Anyway, it was a planet that I didn't steal (go figure!) and actually paid for in UU so I find it unlikely the person that sold it to me would have attempted to remove it. Good suggestion though...

What was the name you wanted to change to? (maybe the swear filter...)
Also, take planet and ascend tactic?

Name was changed to "Seriously farming me is bad". If a swear filter caught it, I guess I'm using some pretty sophisticated swear words.

The ascension thing is a possibility but the only person who would have been able to take it (the seller) is currently non-ascended. :?

It's also possible that I inadvertently abandoned it with an erroneous click but I've abandoned many planets (;) ) and I know there is a message that pops up after saying "Planet abandoned." which didn't happen here.

No, that was forum time. I thought they were one in the same.

Admin looked into...

Is is owned by another player now, who found it with his mothership...

So most likely what happened is you clicked the abandon button, and quickly clicked the rename after... but once you push that button the command is sent to the server. So clicking another or stopping the page to load wont help.

Very well. Even more reason to implement a confirmation before a planet is abandoned because that certainly was not my intent. Thank you for the follow up. It is appreciated.
