Destroying beacons

how about being able to destroy beacons on a planet?
of course, it has to be limited greatly... perhaps:
- available only after 3 days of owning planet
- removes all production for 3 days
- removes 10-20% of total production permanently

what do you others think? (feel free to fire away at the idea...)

I'm up for it. You should be able to sweep, x-ray, scan, whatever a planet after you take it and depending on the amount of resources you spend on the sweep, you have a chance of finding and destroying beacons placed on it.

It would actually encourage people to have multiple beacons on their planets because you would know that a new owner might sweep for them multiple times but only get a few of them.

maybe make it like a AC. If your fleet is 2-3 times as high as the planet defences, the you destroy the beacon.

I like the idea of being able to scan the planets for beacons...

Don't think the fleet one is good though.

our idea was to be able to remove all beacons from planet, but only after having owned planet for at least 3 days, and at high cost... not that it removes some beacons...

and, if it is 3 days, and previous owner hasnt taken it back, then he cant do it, or he doesnt want to... maybe to make it safer to own beacons, up the no removal time to 7 days, as then it is very hard to just stay on ppt the whole time after conquering, but before removal...

I think the cost should be high (Say ten times the price to put a beacon on) and only have a chance of working. Then it shouldn't tell you if there are more beacons on it.

I do feel that the power of ascending shold burn up any beacons in your relm.
