What is it? I don't accept the definition in the dictionary, what do you think it is?

I will just give the basic definition: nationality is what country you are from or consider yourself to be a member of.

to me its where you were born... i was born in south Africa, but now living in Australia (lived in another country in-between) and im an Aus citizen, but i still consider myself south African.

It can also be a tool for the government to use as in nationalism.

Ok can you be born one place but not be of that nationality? To Qoute the Duke of Wellington "Being born in a stable does not make one a horse".
I accept you are a citizen but I believe nationality is a choice not something given at birth.
