Cowardly Act

This is something that happened to me the other day. Now as almost every commander knows one of the jobs that comes with having officers is defending them (exception to this rule being the person i will tell you about), And so when my officer came to me saying that a certain player had been stealing his planets and asked me to talk to him.
I said I would address it and checked my officers Attack logs first to make sure that this was the case, before clicking on the player who stole the planets, and sending him a message :

"You have been stealing my officers planets, Now what your gonna do is let him steal every last one of them back, and we will leave it at that, and you can find someone else to steal planets from."

There is nothing threatening about that message, and some other players i have asked have agreed with me.

But back onto the subject. I Sent him a message and left it at that for now.
Not long after i sent the message, I was asked by one of my older (MSN)contacts from when i was selling UU if i had been attacked by him, after checking my logs i confirmed that i had been attack by this player(2).
Then that player added me to another msn conversation, between the player(1) who had stolen my officers planets, and the player(2) who had attacked earlier.

This is where the trickery and cowardice comes into player. Before continuing on with the story i will just explain how it is cowardly, and the trickery will explain itself.

The cowardly plart is simple, instead of handling this problem himself the player(1) had to bring in a larger player(2) to talk for him, Now some people might find this a usual act, but I am firm in the belief of handling every one of my problems myself, both in game and in real life myself, or where i can (obviously i can't rob a bank for example than be expected to defend myself in court).

Back to the my story. The 2 players were talking to me on msn, player1 talking more often that player2. I was trying to work out a peaceful solution, not wanting to start anything major, with player1. I havent got the conversation saved so i cant post it up here, but to sumerize a long story short, Player1 was angry and threatening me for about 10 minutes before player2 posted something along the lines of this:

"The forces of §partan fought back with all they could, and managed to inflict 3 damage on ???????????????'s forces!"

Ignoring the convo for a second or 2, i checked my account and found out that he had destroyed my defence while i was talking to the other player(1).

This little episode cost me over 100,000 super defenders and 86billion worth of top defence weapons, the ascended weapons.

The players who did this are

Player(1) - kramer - ID - 92488 - the planet stealer

and

Player(2) - Ancient God Anubis - ID - 42617 - the larger playr

Im not sure if this tactic has been used much already, but a warning for all those who havent heard of it.
I would also like to note that when i asked for compensation for being attacked, i got ignored.
I was also sent this message by kramer soon after the attack:

"while you were being mssed we talked of peace now is your chance for peace do not retaliate in any way"

I have yet to retaliate. But I have found out that the story was leaked around and that kramer lost some stats on the day i posted this topic.

I would also like to add that this post is the result of kramer refusing to compensate me, and I gave him fair warning that this would happen when i asked for compensation.

I would like to see what other players think of this tactic, so feel free to post away.

First you said:

Then you said:

I don't see how what your own officer did, in asking you to talk to someone who was stealing his planets, is really any different to another someone getting a larger, and more powerful friend, to help fight their corner.

I can't condone their tactics, or anything else in your post, but that part struck me as a bit silly.

im sorry to say this but, this is just from my experience you got played, i don't think its cowardly because i don't care about those things honor and coward is all just words with no meaning in a game like this.

I know your pissed...now pick your self up brush that dirt of your shoulders and shove a potato up there exhaust pipes.

i think the point that §partan is making is that if we are negotiating for a suitable outcome to a problem, then make sure you watch your account at the same time. he is sharing this with us so that we dont get caught the same way!

the fact that he was being attacked by player 2 whilte player 1 was keeping him distracted by talking on msn, is nothing short of cowardly and dishonourable.

and i sorry but i disagree, there are many brave and honourable people who play this game, but it is quite obvious that kramer and ancient god anumbis are not among them!

As far as I see it, this game has no honor in it. Yes, you can be honorable. But if you're not honorable, that does not mean you lack honor or are a coward. Any tactic that is not against the rules of the game or exploits a bug is fair play. Some would say that massing someone while they are offline is cowardly, or taking planets during war. It's all opinion. Opinions are like buttholes, everyone's got one.

I have to say Im glad AGA was removed from the allaince im apart of. He was also allegedly hitting a surrendered alliance and massing them still. He was removed by Lord Rylan I dont see this as new from AGA.

GenLucky said it on the forum, the entire thing he said was: Opinions are like (other word for butt)holes, everyone's got one and some are larger than others.

But the saying is pretty old. My mother told it to me when I was about 7.

u got owned, i do this all the time, ask blahh when i done his m/s i knew he was on but couldnt do it after a few trys but he was repairing, so i spoke to him while doing that and taking a very long time to speak between each word while i was massing his m/s that was 3 times as powerful as mine, its not harsh just a different way to get around things, and when u have been playing enought u might come up with a few yourself , ive been using that one for about 2 years :P and some people really llike it when i told them of it, it was like rubbing their face in it, but u might come up with a few and if u every do, my pm is always open for suggestions, i always like new ideas

I don't think the issue was that he was talking to him on MSN to distract him. There is not much of a problem with that. However they were negotiating peace. When you are negotiating peace, you generally don't expect to be massed in the process.

hahaha... AGA, you took a bit long, but hahaha.

dude, if your going to issue a threat on behalf of someone else, be ready for that person to do exactly the same thing. and be ready for that person to skip the threats and get straight into the meat of the discussion. "your going to let him do it" lol, if there isnt an implied theat there, ive never issued one before.

and i do like this tactic. ive used it myself a few times in massing people. if you talk fast enough, they dont look at their accounts.

btw, i think you just found out what 98% of this realm already knows. officers are a waste of time and effort, and will never give you a profit.

eh? you just need to be able to type faster than the other bloke
really fast. you can mass him, and msn him at the same time. talk to him about the forum, ascended, whatever. just get him reading and look at anything but main.
