could you clear up a point for me please
would a scammer be classed as a cheat ?
by this i mean people who scam a player out of naq/uu/turns/cash and dont repay the resourses offerd.
mt abuse for example : selling an mt on the market for say a total of 50bil. you send them 50bil for turns and they dont send the turns but rather send you a message saying hahahaha you where scammed.
should we report those type of players as cheats or not ?
thx

I'd say they're cheats, others wouldn't.

well yes and no, u take the chance of trading outside of the market place, but there is a place to put scammers
http://herebegames.com/StarGateWars/viewforum.php?f=38
place it in there containing the name for main and forum if u know them, ID and msn adress if know that way some people will know not to trade with them
other than that u can just sit on that account unless its not worth doing so

The game administration has always maintained a firm "hands-off" policy on trades happening outside the game. Selling or buying a market turn is a trade not supported by the game or by trade brokers so you're taking a risk by doing one.
Scamming sucks, it isn't nice, but it isn't something that the game should police.

Indeed, scamming is not a form of cheating. It is not encouraged, but it happened so much that it could no longer be policed.
What we do, instead, is inform people on how to avoid it.

Well it technically is cheating because they cheated you out of naq/turns/uu etc! But does it say in the game rules no scamming people? Been a long time since i read the rules thoroughly.

Gameadmins can not police trades make outside the game. It would be one persons word against another's.
