No, you didn't miss thanksgiving... and it's not a old thread.

And yes I'm talking about being thankful.

In our lives, we have so much to be happy for. When we get massed, instead of worrying about what resources we lost, but rather laugh about what resources the oppent will lose.

Instead of complaining about the bad food at the cafeteria, be thankful that you have food at all.

There's a flip side to every situation, and a good side of every problem. The glass may be empty, but at least it has the potential to be filled...

person 1: I have dial up and my computer goes at 2kb/ hr. But I am thankful that I can be here, post, and meet the wonderful people in SGW

person 2: I have a computer that crashes every other minute, but at least it works sometimes

etc...

It's raining today, and I have to bike and hold practices in the rain, but at least I can feel the raindrops on my skin and stay cool.

I'm sad that I'm too much of a jerk to give to charity
i am happy i get to keep the money to spend on myself.

I'm sad I regularly mock people who insult me about their monetary wealth
I'm happy my parents are rich enough that i can mock them for their monetary wealth.

I'm thankful that I live where I do and not some place like the Sudan, Zimbabwe, or North Korea.

Im thankful that im alive and well.

I am thankful that people appreciate life so much, despite whatever tragedies they may have suffered
