am i alone when i say "i have had enough of whats going on both ingame and on forum?"
why do we all have so little respect for each other these days?

i've had enough of peoples posts from both sides of this conflict, we all know i'm not the only one who feels like this...
people are saying it but no one seems to listen to them.

a conflict of this size was inevitable given that many people hate CoP and the GA before them.

but why do people hate them so much?

how about the hate the the CiA are bringing on themselfs??

if this conflict is not resolved in a sensible amount of time, the CiA and CoP will be responsible for the downfall of this game!

people have wanted a conflict of this size in the game for ages, but not if its going to spill over into the forum the way it has.
its basically turned the forum into a mudslinging arena for both sides which includes us neutrals as well, and thats not what the forum is about.

i'm sick of the arguments, name calling, mudslinging and history lessons.

i have given up keeping track of this conflict, i can only imagine how bored some of you are, but still you wont sort this mess out because of pride.

everyone says that CoP are prideful (and with good reason i might add) but CiA are also proud of having forged a force capable of taking on such a power base as CoP, i salute CiA leadership for having the courage to go this far, but i ask you all...who is the more prideful here, CoP or CiA?

as i understand it (correct me if i am wrong) CoP have extended the hand of truce a few times now but CiA is intent on warring till CoP is gone, am i correct in this?

if this is so then i ask again, who is the more prideful here?


another question you all need to ask yourselfs is this...how is this conflict affecting the game???


now, call me what you want for making this post, but i stand by my rantings here!

what prompted me to make this post is the slow and steady degradation of the forum, all of you need to step back and take a look at whats going on.

While I do not play this game, I do see the effects of the war on this community, and to say the least, I very much dislike it.

Your points are valid, Aries, and so, you are certainly not alone.

To the propagators of the war: if the war is to continue, trick me into thinking it's not even going on. Just don't poison the community like this.

Well before I go on my trip, I'll say one thing G, we always said this game is not stargatepeace or stargateNAP but stargatewars, and finally this game becomes what it should be, a giant war, I NEVER enjoyed that much this game since feb, 23, 2005 the date I joined.
I however have to agree people seem to not be capable to keep it ingame, name callings come, like CIA are bunch of noobs or cheaters, CoPs and CIA members insulting each others with name calling like "vagina" and many that are not autorized on this forum, the well known big words in other words lmao.
I would like to see it continuing, the DD peace treaty proposed seems to be quite ok, but the game will become again boring, quite less than before the war, but still less enjoyable than now. I salute anyway the propositions even if I would like to see it continue.

Name callings should stop and be replaced by ACing or massing little 2bil def instead of whining of things :p

jim, a war of attrition is no war at all, you know that and so does everyone else here...

you forget the 8 month struggle we had with LoD and LoT????

this is that war round 2, no one can destroy anyone else in this game...unless they are foolish enough to train their entire army that is!

yes this is a war game but as i said already, this has turned into a war of attrition, and both sides in this conflict have such large forces and stats that this could in theory go for years, so what are we left with mate?

we are left with a bloody mess on the forums...thanks but no thanks.

CoP has not extended any sort of truce. DD has, but not CoP. Let's not confuse things.

Ultimately, I doubt this war will destroy the community. I think it's going to clean up a ton of bad blood ingame. A lot of grudges will be solved and past disputes settled. While it may create a few spats here and there, and I know for sure a couple of grudges will still exist, I think most will be taken care of.

As far as the mess on the forum, 90% of it has stayed within the Galactic Col. The exact reason that forum was created was to do just that, keep all war talk and trash talking separate from the rest of the community. CoP vs CiA is the only war worth anything right now, so if you don't want to read the admitted crap being posted, then stay out of the Gal Col.

Well, I have traded many many PMs with Active COP members.

95% of them are congratuatory or just Nice in someway for them or to me.

I have had one player get very personal last week, but then this morning I get this message

Then the remaining have just been ones of conceited players who then do not follow up, basic old empty threats.

I belive the messages you receive and how you are treated by members of the Game and Forum community is directly related to how you dictate yourself.

I am disapointed in a few, but the Majority I belive are still having fun and are good people.

As far as the war, please stop judgeing it from the outside. It has almost servered its purpose with just some minor negotiations left. We would of never come to this point in any other type of system.

i havnt visited gal col for over 2 weeks now, i have dropped by but left in less than a minute, cant even remember the last time i posted there lol.

i never said it will destroy the community, what is happening is the slow degradation of the forum as the war/smack talk over spills the gal col into the rest of the forum...looked around in general section lately?

Yes, that's why I said 90%. The 10% that spills over SHOULD be taken care of by mods. But I think all the mods are afraid of being called biased.

I spoke to an hour with psi kiya trist about the state of the forums last night

i know at the end of this war there are a couple of people who i may have called friends or not hit that are now gonna have a little visit. I really dont like these forums much anymore

i've just got this message from S T I, i think you should all see exactly what i have been trying to say....

i left the forum, only to come back to try and help solve this mess, it is worse now that it ever has been i think i have made my last post, i am sick of all the personal insults, people trying to justify themselves by just flaming things.
