Unfortunately this does not seem to as rare in the US as it is here [In fact, when was the last shooting in a British school? I can't recall any in my lifetime], or should be anywhere. Even so, this is "the deadliest school attacks in U.S. history". The Times has a useful timeline of American school shootings, showing that there have been at least fifteen school shootings in the last decade.

Nevermind and btw you have to be really sick to do smth like that...

Lets keep politics out of this thread. Discussions on the impact of violence in particular societies may be posted in a new thread.

I am aghast at what occurred. From the early, sensationalist and speculative reports; it is sounding more and more like it was a planned, pre-meditated shooting.

Its a sad day but to answer the question about the last shooting here in the UK a few years ago a man went into a primary school in Dumblane in Scotland and shoot some kids and there teacher after that guns where banned in the UK.

a mate in my alliance was sadly affected by this. His college is only a few minutes away from the one where the shooting took place, I spoke to him last night, the town is pretty broken up, and most of the students got drunk to drown the pain. :S

my heart goes out to all of those effected...

as for the planned premeditated part... from what my alliance mate told me... the first two victems were the shooters girlfriend and the man she was cheating on the shooter with... :S

this world really does suck.
