Mercs out of nowhere

I have just logged into my account after a few hours of being away and find that I am the proud owner of 1.107 mercs.
After checking my attack logs, there have been none today, I checked the most recent ones (thought maybe I just didn't see them over the last 4 days) and according to my logs the attacks that I defended didn't give me any enemies to add to my account.
Don't know if this is a bug but I don't want to do anything with these mercs until I am sure that they are definitely mine to use.

i thought gouald took soldiers n turned them into uu not into mercs
well they did last time i spoke with a goauld anyway
might be a new thing

As I said to Henenshi I haven't attacked anyone in the last week, maybe even two, except to steal a planet
, so I'm not sure why I have these mercs.
I don't want to do anything with them incase it is a bug or something that could get me in trouble

It's not a new thing; mercs turn into mercs, soldiers turn into UU.

Hen - Goa'uld ability only works for attacking, I believe.

It works for any attack that you win, be it you attacking and you beat their def, or you being attacked and your def holds out.
I checked because I'm Goa'uld in Quantum.

No, as I said, the only attack I have done in last couple of weeks was for a planet.
These mercs popped up after I had been offline for a few hours. They weren't there when I had logged out.
Looking at logs I did defend an attack around the time that I was offline. There is no mention of me getting any enemy troops however to convert.

I'd say considering it's only a little over 1k mercs, forget about them and move on

Would love to do that lol but not till i'm sure these mercs are legit. I know it isn't a lot but I still don't want to take advantage of them if this happens to be a bug of some sort.
