It's really sad to see the community going downhill so fast. We have been fighting a ridiculous war for ridiculous reasons nobody can even remember by now for 2 months now... people are leaving left right and center...

Some people still try to contribute to the community and are putting a lot of effort in making the forums an enjoyable place. Players and Mods. Sadly they will never have success because some idiots will put even more effort in flaming others and stirring up the same crap all over again. I'm really sick of it and honestly I'm not sure if there's a way to turn it around at all.

I for one am giving up. I quit being a mod because I just don't see the point anymore. It's just getting too ridiculous now.

No, this is not a quitting thread. I am not leaving the game or the forums, I only give up my modship and I'm posting this thread here, because I haven't given up hope completely and if only 1 or 2 people who are reading this actually think about it and start thinking before they post useless and unproductive crap the next time, this thread has served its purpose.

Good luck to everyone who's still trying to make things around SGW better... I rather go and try to sort out my completely messed up life instead

I love the sweet irony, you say think, you don't mean it. You mean agree with you. I've read your post, I've thought about it, and yes, I know the community went down hill, and there is a lot of hate, but I saw it before the war, and back then, it was hate too, it was certain members picking out whoever they wanted to attack, attacking them, and having everyone else declare that the person who is being attacked is a noob because the attacker is one of their friends. I know what is going on now is bad, I don't pretend it is better or worse than before, its different, but not worse. I think its a good thing though, because we endure this now because the hate being seeen now may lead to a much better forum.

Edit: and tok'ra, i cant beleive you just ran in and shouted "I SAID IT FIRST!!111"

Wouldn't it be closer to the truth to say that you, Tok'ra, are both the effective cause, and the apotheosis of symptom of this disease? Dis-ease, yes... something like... un-comfort. Uncomfortable, that's the feeling some of your threads (no no, not all of them) give me.

Far from it, Im being quite serious.

MOST of the mods on this fourm are good mods, but a few tend to be a bit more harsher then needed, hence my actions (that and Im just an arse :p )

As for the community, its BEEN goin downhill for a while, since before I was banned (and my ban did nothing to halt it).

And as shown in the link I Posted a few posts up, Ive BEEN tryin to fix things, only to get flamed most of the time.

I've felt like leaving for a while, but I've decided to hang around and see how it runs.

Its sad to see things like this happen, hopefully both geisha and REK can return to their posts when things have smoothed out.

I hope REK comes back at least.

I would have to agree with geisha and REK, the only way you can be part of the "community" is if your strong or have strong friends, the only place the forum is not a cess pit of degradation and a complete waste of time is the spam section, the place where it actullay should be a place to waste time! The only reason i visit the forums is to let off steam in posts such as this one!
