races in alliance having effect

how about making race buildup of alliances have an effect?

for example:
alliance size of 17 members, of which:
5 are tauri/tollan
5 asgard/ancient
4 legos
3 snakes

the alliance gets 20*membercount of specified race bonus to stats, divided by 17, so this one would get:
20*5 / 17 = 5.88% to attack
20*5 / 17 = 5.88% to defense
20*4 / 17 = 4.71% to covert
20*3 / 17 = 3.53% to income (or something else "snaky")

the total bonuses arent great, but if same alliance had had only one race, like asgard/ancient, the bonus would have been 20% to defense... which is a lot...

and the bonus wouldnt increase because of larger alliances, so all alliances would be equally able to get good bonus...

but it also needs some lower limit, to stop the one member alliance abuse... so maybe lower limit of 6 members, and activity being needed to have it work (so that noone will just create 5 multies to join alliance to get bonus...)...

feel free to chop away on this idea, and to add or change stuff... the numbers used are not fixed, as they are just used for an example...

You shouldnt get an extra bonus for just being in an alliance while those who aren't get nothing.

However, if being in no alliance gave you the max bonus for your race I could see this happening.

My question as well, also you might concider the fact that 40 people could go to 4 different alliances but all be in the same "coalition". They then could move freely between the alliances to change the bonuses as need to fit the situation at the time. So if they want to hold naq then all the asguard go to 1 alliance. If they want to att then all the tauri got to one alliance. And so forth.

that would be strategy... and sgw is quite lacking in that...

What if you were in an alliance of 41 Asgard what would your 'so called' bonus be then?

48.26% to defense

or really, they have 1 in front of them, like this:

def. now * 1.4826 = total def after bonus

i don't think he was meant to write devide by 17, i guess he means devide by member count, so that would make it 20%.

i like the idea, and i'm in a very mixed alliance.

one potential downside:
Jason/Forum would want to consider how having inactives in an alliance might be used as a so-called strategy...
