What part is most fun?

Which element of SGW is more fun? I can only think of 3 which are War, Diplomacy and trade. I know a few players that are interested in politics and enjoy the ambassador role more than anything else in this game. I myself prefer trade while I know the majority love WAR :D

We've seen how far diplomatix negotiations go in this game:

"Give me x amount of UU or ill keep sitting on you"

Im usually cannon fodder in war as im at the place where im just about high enough to mass but too low to hit back,

So trading i guess? although its not exactly fun

War.

While I'm not as active as I used to be, I still love going to war and will jump at the chance to have a fun fair war

Trading and diplomatic relations are only useful till you get your account to a place where you can fight effectively.

Attacking players defences especially those larger than you that put your account at risk is the greatest thrill. I dont mean the farming of larger accounts.... I mean some guy twice your size that you focus all your resources on to bring down his defence and kill his spies etc...

Not much fun massing guys 1/10th your size, honestly.

Currently we have fun massing MSs etc.., and occasionally we get countered while online and have to work quickly in realtime to save your defence or rescue your spies.

Then when it is all over, you get to exchange congratulartory PMs with your adversaries for making the game interesting to each of you.

As always, those that do not fight along side others or against others, cannot really bond with either. For the soliders on each side earn respect that a trader or politician will never achieve.

None of it really

It used to be fun but it is slowly going stale with no way to take down huge army sizes and yes I do class myself as having a large army.

Why would I want it taken down?

Because it would add a whole new dynamic to the game.

None of the above....

I just plod aglong ingame - don't really care about it.

The friends I've had on here for the last two years are by far more important, so I'd have to say alliance forum.

True, that is what I meant by saying the forum, people are the glue for this game. MSN is pretty cool as well.

Ah I forgot to add "making friends".

I know it's a war game but too bad there are no other real aspects to it other than mass-farm-grow and so on and so on.

Making friends would get my vote. :)
Also important is warfare... and from time to time, diplomat.
To make all that possible, it is important to tend to your account as if it were a baby.

That's my little triangular SGW-style.

Any sort of player interaction gets my vote. Be it politics, trade, war or simple chatting.

I wouldn't play SGW were it not for the eclectic mix of people.

Lets see...
For my first 8 months of playing, trading was all I did. So I guess that was my favorite at that point. Gained many contacts and my msn list is still stuffed because of it, small and big players. Also was annoyed by many scammers..

I have also been a diplomat. I liked that position for awhile, at least for the first 4 months of seriously doing it. Gain some more contacts, especially alliance leaders and alliance diplomats. Still doing it, but in a never-ending war, the point becomes somewhat mute. :-D

Now, I guess I prefer war. Destruction is good. Get to find out who you can really trust, and even meet more people; ones that don't have msn or lead alliances, but instead are just average blokes. :)
