not sure if this is suppoed to happen or not, but when im attacked, even if my defence is higher i seem to lose a excessive amount of units, there lose like 400 ill lose like 5000, let me know if its a bug or if im doing something wrong

There are many possibilities.

Tauri's have special evacuation technologies.
You could have a lot of mercs.
Your soldiers may not be trained as supers.
You may have a lot of unarmed soldiers.

And more... just have a look over the logs.
