How does that rank thing works? Is the main rank connected to total power? Or is it related to attack,deff,...ranks? Because if I had for example, att 2000, def 2000, and same with MS,and covert...I'd probably be lower rank than 2000

It takes all your individual rank into consideration (attack, defense, covert & anti-covert, MS). It has no connection to your total power.

help&rules -> calculations wrote:How do Ranks works?: Each player is ranked in each stat: attack/defence/covert (anti+normal)/mothership. You therefore have 4 ranks...1 is best, last is worse. A tie at the same value for last (ie everyone without a mothership). Your total rank is determined by taking ( rank1 + rank2 + rank3 + rank4 ) divided by 4, then sorting from lowest to highest. All 4 stats are therefore weighted equally in determining total rank, and dropping one by a lot will drop your total rank substantially. Having balanced ranks is the best way to climb the overall ranks.

very very useful that page ...sgw would be a much less "noobish" place if everyone knew these things ;)

Lowest total rank = rank 1

e.g. 2 players.

Player 1 has:

Attack: rank 1
defence: rank 1
MS: rank 1
covert: rank 80

player 2 has:
attack: rank 17
defence: rank 10
MS: rank 23
covert: rank 7

Player 2 would be a higher rank.

if your aiming to lower your rank the quickest way possible (get close to rank 1)

it is wise to have even stats (even in rank e.g rank 200 strike/defence/covert/MS)

rather than having one incredible stat (e.g. rank 1 strike/rank 400 defence/rank 300 covert and rank 500 MS)

I understand that about one being better then another in your example...But, for another example..

Ranked: 1,635
Ranked: 2,862
Ranked 981
Ranked: 1,743

This one is rank 930 something like that..That is about half of his average rank and which is lower than any of ranks above:) I just thought one can know his rank just from his att,def,...obviously that isn't so?

Ranked: 2,000
Ranked: 2,000
Ranked: 2,000
Ranked: 2,000

This one would not be ranked 2,000.

Obviously. You can be ranked 1 in 3 stats, and have the fourth ranked 20000, someone with all their stats ranked 1000 will be above you.

It works like this. First it compares your attack against all others and ranks those. Same for all other stats. Then it adds those numbers together. Whoever has the lowest total gets the highest rank.

Player A
Ranked: 1,000
Ranked: 1,000
Ranked: 1,000
Ranked: 1,000
Sum: 4000

Player B
Ranked: 500
Ranked: 2,000
Ranked: 1,000
Ranked: 1,000
Sum: 4500

Player B will be below A, even though getting a top 500 score is much harder than a top 1000 score. It's all about balancing your individual ranks.
