I have IE 7 and the latest version of Firefox, and I have to say that IE 7 is BETTER!

Reasons I like IE:
You get to set more settings
Almost all the features of FF comes with IE now
It's spiffy now
It's integrated into the OS
It's generally more compatable
Mozilla lovers annoy me...

Reasons I like FF:
Download manager is nice
Once I get too many viruses/adware/spyware on FF, I can just delete and reinstall and get rid of a bunch of them



So what if FF is open source? Is anyone incapable of getting IE? Mozilla is NOT non-profit!

FF is not faster, safer or better. FF just has a really loud occult. Opera is safest and fastest, but IE is faster 5/9 than FF and actually has LESS severe and LESS overall security holes compared to FF. It's just that more people happen to target IE cause it's more popular.



offside rant about linux:
Linux maybe good for experienced techie users who wants to customize their compy. But linux is far less compatable and is far more complicated. Futhermore, it doesn't have better security, it's just targeted less.

I would counter to you supposition that since IE is tied into the OS it provides another way for hackers/worms/etc. to get in and do serious damage.

FF is not tied in and I would argue that it provides less of an opportunity to gain access to your computer.

FF is faster.

I use both regularly, and FF is consistently faster.

Safety wise, don't know, I let my security software protect me.
Integration in the OS is not THAT great, opens up more possibilities for exploits.

FF has A LOT more add-ons and extensions which IE has very few, and the ones that are comparable to FF ones, you have to pay for.

BTW I'm far from a Mozilla lover, I only use one product of theirs, FF. Thunderbird is retarded as no one should use an email client like that anymore, as there is web based email.

FF hands down! I can't log in to my yahoo email with IE. and flashget pwns! and FF looks better, and MS never has ideas on it's own, MS is always rip-off
