Post here if you want to talk about any instruments you play, bands your in etc etc.
I play guitar (For about 1 and a half years).

(Its a 35 year old Jedson, which is a copy of a 1950 Gibson Les Paul Guitar.... Should really get a Fender or something.
I'm trying to start a band, Learning to play Phenomenon by Thousand Foot Krutch for it... My mate suggested a name for the band, but I can't remember it...
what about you lot?

Been waiting for ages for this kinda topic
I play guitar and have done for just over 6 years now... I've got a Fender Strat, a Stag flying V and an Encore eletric acoustic guitar too. I'm just starting to learn the Piano also. I've been in a few bands since starting to play the guitar but nothing serious up until now.
I'm currently sharing my own material with another guy who sings and plays a guitar and we're seeing what we can come up with... If its anything half decent then we're gonna seriously think bout starting up a band. Gonna be The Beatles/Oasis sounding hopefully
Btw the only time I play my guitar is in the bar I work in, which is in Spain

So im always being listened too. I'm always getting positive feedback. Just this morning actually, I was asked to play my own material by a few people. Musta been playing for bout an hour to them

I've been playing stringed instruments for about 25 years. I started with the violin for about two years then played accoustic guit until I found the Bass. I've been playing electric bass for about 18 years now.
(In my local circles, I'm known as the little Les Claypool. I also transcribe Primus songs for the internet. I'm known as the God of Discord.)
I've been playing bass in rock bands for the past 14 years, and just recently started playing electric guitar in a proffessional capacity, instead of just teaching.
My cover bands:
Tool
Primus
Rush
Rolling Stones
Bob Dylan
Mr. Bungle
Before I went on my musical hiatus a couple of years ago, I was actively gigging in 5 different bands, playing 1 or 2 shows a day, 4 or 5 days a week. Needless to say, that's the only way a musician makes money. Now I'm forming an all original band that sounds like Tool meets Rush.
Over the years, I've owned many, many guitars. Right now I just have my early 90s Fender P-bass and early 90s Epiphone Les Paul Studio. I run it through a ProCo Rat into a Peavey Mark IV 50 watt bass amp with a 2x12 cabinet.
Yep.

Yea, I'm like that a bit... I had a teacher, but quit because all he did was smoke, drink, and tell me the song I wanted to learn is too distorted. I'm now trying to self teach myself, which is hard because I suck at rythem. Lol.

I am a brass musician, I have been playing trumpet for 12 years and recently started playing others like Euphonium, French Horn and Tuba. Was getting lessons up until 2004 and self taught since then.

I used to play the piano, but I gave it up temporarily to concentrate on exams...
...then never started again. I keep meaning to, though.

Used to play the guitar when I was young, but I think I was too young to start and stopped liking it. I've been considering teaching myself this time around.

I play bass. I mainly just pay songs by Leftover Crack and Choking Victim now. I haven't had an amp for over 6 months
I don't like playing without an amp.
