Hi guys,
I'm gonna work hard this summer for a cool car. Something that costs less then 10,5k USD ( 5300 GBP)
Ok so I want something faster then I already have, my car is 114 HP and doesn't spend alot of gas - I want something above 150 HP (Unless it's a 125 Hp Subaru Impreza with the turbo look)
The cars I had in mind was either a Subaru Impreza, but getting a 220 HP impreza on an affordable price for me where I live is extremly difficault.
I was also thinking of a Honda Civic v-tech, I found a few 160 HP Civics, sedans. They were cool and affordable.
Any ideas? Can anyone for example reccomend hondas or tell my why I shouldn't get one?
Btw. serious posts please and don't tell me to get an american car, that is cheap but has alot of HP - cause that means it breaks alot and spends more gas then a japaneese car with a whole in it's gas-tank.
It can be japaneese, or german or what ever. But preferebly not amerian - I'll get one of those when I'm rich lol.
Regards,
KJ

I mean when you are rich you can have many cars, including american EXPSENSIVE muscle cars who spend alot of gas. Basically if you want to own an american muscle car here you have to be rich / own a gas station.
German cars spend alot of gas too compared to japaneese cars though. And I love BMW but damn - if you drive them for 1 hour that means 2 hours in a garage - fixing it.

the fairly new BMWs arent bad for repairs, I know someone with a 320i and it runs liek a dream. The gas and brakes are really sensitive on it though.

got 150k mi but that isn't so bad for a 16 year old who gonna drive it to work and school, paint a little dinge in places but nothing horrible, front grill is peeling but that can just be replaced. Sooo not much work. It had one previous owner and has a lot of nice upgrades.

Really? He must have been damaged or driven ALOT
I heard that once BMW's been driven 200,000 km. they won't live much longer, you're just constantly repairing them lol.

well he's got 50k to go then to go from home to work and school. Not bad though, might be able to get old parts cheap at a wrecking yard.

Honda's are supposed to be very reliable and very rarely break down

Aye, I've still got a preferance for Toyota - but I hold great respect for honda.
(Just be wary, iirc Honda (old honda's esp.) use(s/d) alot of interference engines.)
and has a lot of nice upgrades.
Geh, don't leave us hanging! What sort of goodies?

my dad had one when I was younger and had had it for 15 years and it lasted up until its last leg. This thing handles very well though, and is in suprisgingly good shape.
As for the goodies...It has abuisness radio system that adjusts volume to compenstate for the noise caused by the car as you increase speed. So when you drive faster the music gets louder. Radio station names are displayed and so are the names of songs playing. It has a lovely climate control system. Leather seats. Memorized driver seat positions. Leather interior. The Engine is for a 5 series instead of a 3 so its got a little more power. It accelerates very very well. And um....lots of trunk space.
