Mysterious planet disappearance

I just stole a planet, about half an hour ago, then went away from my PC until now. I just returned to find the planet gone. I assumed the original owner has taken it back. So I look in my attack logs, and I have 0 attacks against me in the past 5 days..
The only conclusion I can come to is that someone could have taken it and ascended or something? Any other views on this?

odds r they stole it and ascended.
did u have a beacon on it? if so, it mite b a good time to activate it

is your attack(when u stole the planet) still there?
if not then old owner has taken it back and ascended, if its still there then its a bug as nobody except old owner cant steal it for 24h.

My stealing of the planet was no more than an hour ago so I had no opportunity to install a beacon, it is still right at the top of my attack logs..
Yeah seriously i'm thinking that this planet of mine has just randomly disappeared.

Anyone had something like this happen? Planet just disappears randomly with no possible explanation?

Check your attack logs. Is the log still showing you stole the planet?

It's a bug then, as ascending wipes attack logs of those who attacked you no?
