erm. it looks so much scarier than main.

anyways, my main question is, will people just cause me to descend if i leave my account without putting it on vacation mode, because i dont want to have to go on vacation mode as it will halve the bonuses gained on main.

i noticed there are quite a few people at the bottom rankings who obviously dont do anything with their accounts, so is it just common courtesy to leave them alone so they dont lose their bonuses or something?

I would advise you go on Vacation or at least play the account once in a while. If you are ever in a war your ascended account is fair game. That and time constraints have made some people permanently set their accounts to vacation mode. Have fun!

Their are people out their that just deascend people in the lower ranks so you aren't safe.

theres a couple hundred that are safe right now, and i dont want to lose 50% of the bonus from ascension.
so how do these people stay safe?

first, congratulations.

second, you don't get deascended for 3 month...(I'm not sure but it's enough to get you enough def)

third, it's sometimes good to change names but it will only hide your main name. Someone could still spy on you and find your main....

Your best bet is to just play the game rather than try to hide out for no reason, if your obviously playing its not often someone would deascend you for no reason, unless of course you happen to be at war with people in main then your ascended account and bonuses are fair game.

I think ascension looks a little complicated and intimidating to everybody at first glance.. what with all it's fancy buttons and fancy words.

It's not hard to pick up, though. You can learn a lot just from browsing the forums, and I'm sure there are plenty of players who'd be willing to answer questions and explain some of the basics. You can even ask me if you're REALLY desperate, hehe.

It isn't worth investing resources and effort into a server not to play it at all, in my opinion.. even if you do get some bonuses in main.

Mordacks right there are plenty of people who will help you learn to play, drop me a PM if you have any questions. Its definatly worth at least having a go at.

but a dormant prior only gets 2.5% bonuses... and that is nothing at all.... almost.

The way I would go about it is this:
If you can check in on the account at least once a day - you should be more than fine not playing - just get into a habit of logging into the ascended server after you do your main buissness, and check the attack logs.
Descension takes a fair amount of time, and odds are you'll catch an attempt in progress - and can then flee to vacation (provided you haven't been attacking.)

That is the least time intensive way I can think of to go about it without staying on vacation permanently and losing your bonus, or leaving it up to chance - which is something I wouldn't worry about to much to begin with.
