I think that the current way of managing the alliance is awkward. So the idea that sprang to mind was creating a new alliance management page. It could have a link similar to that of planets on the main page. This would take the user to another page that had somewhere around 5 tabs.

Tab name ideas w/ Purpose for each tab

<Main components>
- Alliance main - Board where Alliance Leader can post ~6 main need to knows. This would be things like general alliance information (off site forum web-address/ leaders within the alliance/ anything) and could be used to give new members a basic introduction to their alliance. This page could also be used to show alliance status (such as application statuses/membership etc)
- Alliance List - List of alliances (pretty much link to the existing page)
- Alliance Members - Members list of your alliance (again a link to the existing list)

- Alliance Messages - Could be used to automatically funnel alliance mass-mails out of inboxes.
- Alliance Diplomacy - Would list alliances that your group had different relations with (War/NAP/Alliance). The purpose of this would be a quick way to reference current relations and would have links to the other alliances member lists.

*NOTE for the diplomacy page, I am not suggesting automatically setting members status' in different ways to reflect alliance relations. This pane would serve to let members know the "unofficial" relationships. Calls for relationship status changes are for other threads, this thread is just interface.
*Also the board on the main page would not serve as a forum, just as a need to know from the Alliance leader (members would ideally message the leader/post on the off site forum)

I think this would help get rid of some of the difficulty that there is in navigating and managing information coming from alliances and speed up alliance matters in general, without causing a great change in game-play.

filtering out alliance messages isnt good, as then they wont be read... we know that from chaos...

Just thought it would be useful. The main things I wanted were the first three put into place and then other ideas could be added in if admin felt they were easy/needed. That way the whole alliance process is smoother, and people don't have to go searching through pages of alliances looking for open/closed if they want to find a list of their own members/other alliance members.

However, in defense of the page if the alliance has a page to inform you of alliances/board that has major topics determined by leader (such as need for alliance to discuss proposals in their other forum). Then I wonder what kind of alliance mail would be sent?
By having these pages even members who usually ignore alliance information/seem inactive in alliance activities can quickly gather information about their alliance. I hope this would lead to members more useful/active because they could quickly be informed of wars and find opposing alliance members quickly for attack. The other hope would be that because of the pages most of the status mailings would become redundant and so only the most important/useless mail would be received.

Most of the mail inactives are going to ignore they will ignore anyways whether it has its own box or not this just makes it easier for them to play the game in their way.

*I like my alliance and do read the mail but have been in clans that spam me and wanted a way that would make keeping track of alliance affairs less of a pain

admin is actually working on a major alliance update now, so you will get an improvement... maybe you might even get part(s) of your idea used...

that would be nice, heard mentions of this update before but haven't looked into it so much. Any ideas on when it will be released?
