while cheapest would be best, what in YOUR opinion gives the best AP for your buck? UU? trained units? supers? naq? untrained mercs in the billions? spy and AC levels? a combination of all these?

im wondering because ive ascended 3 times now and this time i got a decent ascension with a decent amount of points to use and i had a combination of naq UU trained supers and spy levels though i dont think that contributed that much honestly.

im thinking naq and maybe supers would be good, a healthy sized raw UP would help too. i used to buy untrained mercs but i found after the first ascension it wasnt worth it unless you hundreds of millions of them.

well if u dont plan on ascending for a month then up is a briliant way to get app since the up produces all the uu u will need and if u hold off the asention for two months then it will even pay back the cost of the up aswell and the fact that that requires u to have high uu and trained units it works even better

ok so far UP seems to be THE answer for getting points. this time around my raw is 20K but i might bump it up though it'll cost me more UU to ascend but thats never a big deal to me. at 15K i had like 70K + in AP from that alone. i might go up to 30K before ascending again. it should yield twice as many points, 140K or so.

my first thought was naq would help but even with 600 bil it'll only give me 100K in AP and that's not a lot considering how much naq would be dumped into that. that alone wouldnt cut it but would help, if i were so inclined to use that much naq just for AP.

i remember reading sumwhere that the APP of naq vs UP, that naq gives more up untill around 30k raw UP (the APP of the naq used to buy 30k raw gives less APP then the 30k raw UP itself)

15bil naq can buy you 10mil untrained mercs from the market

15bil naq = 2,500 APP
10mil UM = 4,166 APP

so you can see, naq invested in UM yields a higher APP

spy lvls aren't good as the 200bil it takes to get from 25-26 only yields 25k APP, while that naq alone would be worth 33k APP

i figured there was a threshhold where eventually the naq put into UP outweighed the benefits of raising the UP for AP.

i'll stick with 30K from now on.

the only reason why i even stopped buying the mercs to begin with was because i had like 15 mil of them and they didnt seem to add very much in points. so at the time as a beginner i felt like i wasted a lot of naq.

if 10 mil UM means just over 4K than i need a good 1 billion of them to make it worthwhile. im not sure i have the patience to accumulate that many UM. lol

as for the spy levels i had heard that after a certain point they arent worth it for points so i havent put much into that for points as much as i have for my main account's benefit. sometimes you do things to benefit one over the other even if its not cost effective for both in total.

but every little bit helps so i could do 30K raw UP, lots and lots of UM, leave some naq behind, 100 bil or so, maybe more if i can afford it, some UU, more than the minimum perhaps.

any other suggestions anyone else may have? i only have 3 ascensions left and i think im doing well with my ascended account (im focusing heavily on rate of growth more than anything) and i want to get the most out of the next 3 ascensions because once those are done, that's it for me unless i want to go to AG and im not interested in that.

there are unlimited resources in main, if you have the time, you can farm/raid countless naq/units. However in ascension, what you see is what you get. So, that should affect your decision

ah see time is the key here because i am in no rush. so i can accumulate lots of resources...

before i was anxious to ascend, now i see how dumb that is.

i have plenty of stuff to do before my next ascension anyway so im no hurry. but you make a good point.

go for 50k raw UP & then wait 3 to 5 months to ascend while you do massive raiding.
