Well after refreshing on things i noticed DD and Omega have build 2 seperate power houses and then you got TL somewhere besides that and not to forgot alot of other alliances capable of doing some serious damage

So how long do you think the peace will stand?

until someone gets uberly bored?

give it 2/3 weeks until eeryone recovers from the last war!

Like mentioned above, someone will get bored, you have plenty of players out there that live for war, and it wouldnt surprise me if this is how one is started, one player hit another, then hits back, gets alliance to mass, and then the other alliance masses the other, then a major war starts.
It will be someone in the top 10 that wants more power, but who knows, maybe there is an alliance out there getting ready right now.

The way i see it, during the CoP pact times its a well known fact that they had no competition. No one could match them, no one could best them. They played their cards right and players gravitated towards these powerhouses which just reinforced their position. With no competition and no one touching them, they were able to create an enviroment which ensured they grew faster than any other alliance ensuring their continued dominance.

They had reached a position which most alliances wish they were in, were envied and the target of much jealousy and spite. However powerful players with no competition means bored players for those that like activity and not just stat building. So you had things like bloody sunday, "training" wars, "We can farm you but you can't farm us" policies etc which embittered parts of the community.

The formation of Legion and their subsequent farming was the spark/catalyst required for those wishing to reset the balance of power to band together and bring about the CoP/CiA war. Since that time, Super Alliances/pacts have faded and replaced by general empires.

Why have FMA's/Pacts when you can simply expand/assimilate enough that you don't actually need them. Not only that, but the community can't tell you off for being too big when before they were telling larger alliances off for holding hands. Simply put, they don't need to hold hands anymore to be powerhouses.

The circumstances are slightly different this time around. Where as before you had one Powerhouse, now you have four growing Empires that i am aware of as well as several alliances growing at an astonishing rate. While some are allied or neutral towards each other, there are more than one "players" around and as such keeping everyone focued on growth as starting a war is no longer as sure a victory as it used to be.

I'd call this period we're in more of a cold war. Everyone is on edge and more focused on growing faster than the other super powers and knowing that starting a war with one of them will ensure a non-involved super power will simply jump ahead. Expansionism as a means of detering any action seems to be the tactic.

As everyone is focues on expanding and general growth both of themselves and thier successors, there isn't as much attention or intention to go to war as there has been in the past. War will come again in time as it always does, but for the moment at least there's more to be gained by all in peaceful growth. On the plus side it gives the GC to smaller alliances to shine for a change

I think Balor's cold war analogy is fairly apt.

It's a little early for a war though, as the lines of demarcation are only just being drawn.

There wouldnt be a huge war because Omega,DD,DDE do not support each other in wars anymore that was decided during the first ww

So former CIA wouldnt do the same.

So basicly if... Lets take omega for this one gets into a war with TL
They would fight it out amongst each other no other alliances will be involved

Maybe yes you have the Omegan empire
Yes you have DD,TO,DO

But this is not to be compared with CoP nor GA for that matter...

Unless in some strange way alliances would team up again...

Well with COP atleast you knew where you stood... with these new empires an average Joe doesnt know what`s going on behind the scenes and underground... Guess we`ll find out in the next huge war eh lol?

That depends on how long the NAPs among certain powerhowses last. If I`m not mistaken one vital one runs out next week lol... To deja-vu or not to deja-vu, that is the question...

It is probably quite like the cold war situation that balor mentione but of course in every cold war you have people who are trying to ignite a war, which appears to have been the purpose of this thread. I mean why else ask the question?

What a silly thing to say, as if other alliances wouldnt take that oppurtinity to hit either TL or Omega if they went to war. The two best alliances going at it, It would be to easy for others to come in and hit the one going under or even surport the weaker one. And then more and more would be dragged in.

And with two very strong Empires looking at each other everyday its bound to start trouble. Then when you put everyone else in the mix, its going to be a fun year for SGW.

I beleive we had MANY peace treatys back in the CIA vs COP war. They are good to stall things, but nothing could stop the great ball of fire rolling into SGW town.

Dont count on all of them alliances in the CIA COP war are going to fight for 1 alliance's greed..
