now for some thing positive,
as of late i have found some time to do some farming & it has been my pleasure to relieve people of their naq.
But what i have enjoyed more is the replies i have had, people who really do understand the game.
Admin dosn't as some people think, phone me & tell me such & such person has this much out.
you have to go out & find it, you have to work out quickly is it worth it or not, in a matter of split seconds,
These people who have replied understand what goes into taking their naq.
This community is full of great people & we seem to concentrate on the negative side to much sometimes.

that people do show respect, these people now have my respect (they may have had it b4, its about a two way street.
also don't we get thread after thread about how " i attacked for this" or i took that, i or i recieved this messages, or about negative things.
so the point is lets have a positive thread.
or amybe thats a bit difficult for you to understand.
if your going to say something be constructive, don't just increase your post count.

Agreed. I find that the one player who sends back a positive message after he's been raided/farmed/massed or even a newbie sending a thank you message for the help makes all the nonsense that comes with the game worthwhile.
It's why I try to and encourage everyone else as well to make a conscious effort to send at least one positive message a market cycle as it does brighten up some peoples days.
This is meant to be an enjoyable game and the lasting power of a good intentioned innocent reply or message easily outweighs fun at the expense of others.

You never replied to my message the other day STI
But yes people must remember that we are people! Not our accounts and that attacks really shouldn't be taken on a personal level.
I look at this way I play other games with my friends online like gears of war, rainbow 6 etc and we are quite happy blowing each other up there but it is never a personal thing. I know SGW isn't like that as it seems worse when you lose stats as they aren't just going to "respawn" like that but it is easy enough to get new ones
Basically you need friends to play games with so making everyone an enemy isn't going to be fun.

If anyone thinks this board is going to be perfect they should take theirself outside and take a long good look at life, and realise that it's one pretty messed up world. You can whine until the cows come home about respect and all the rest, but the bottom line is, people will post exactly what they want and when they want.
The problem here is the acute over sensitivity of some people, and particularly those who are 'celebrities' within the SGW world. Because someone is popular does not mean they're right. Because someone is a bigger player in game, does not mean they are right. Because someone professes to be the king-ding-a-ling of massing, or the cheif moderator, doesn't mean they're right either. I don't know about you, but I'm sick to death of hearing all this "it's all negative" crap. Spewing the same perpetual reverb out over and over, like it's going to make the forum a better place. You know what it needs, less of those folks who can't just get up of their stupid arses and actually develope a sense of humour.
One of the main problems is that far too many users of this board are KIDS, they're not adept to the concept of sarcasm, or even humour, or at the very least on a mild basis. What happens when someone pokes a sly jestful jab at someone here? It all goes tits up because the opposing party interprets it the wrong way, because they're stupid. All this talk about respect, makes me want to rip my own eyeballs out, it's like one of those cheesy romance films. Let's all make love to each other because we all happen to play the same game, that, oh, incidentally, turns out to be a war game.
Respect is great, but would someone define EXACTLY what mature users of this forum are entitled to quantify as banter, without fear of upsetting people.

yes alot of them are kids & things do get misconstrued & blown out of all proportion. but it helps to have a laugh, Geisha is one of the best posters in the game, some of the things she says are not understood & are taken the wrong way.
is it her fault no.
but why try to bring some thing down just because someone is trying to help,
ie me in making this post & having some light humour.
or must we take notice of you & just plod along in the not so perfect world which we all know is the real world.
This is escapism, so lets have some

& enjoy it.

I know what you are saying & agree, but there is no "eXactly", things are taken out of context all the time, just to make people look bad, you know more than anyone thats true, just look at my sig. "it's Yours"
Its by far the best sig/quote in the game.

Well Jeff, you're a great guy, we don't
always agree but yes, as long as you keep the humour then we're all cool beans IMO

Edit: Oh and Jeff sir, shout me any time on MSN and I'll teach you the wonders of mark up code on phpBB, you could wow so many more people if you gave your posts that little extra

Don't take that as a criticism.

LoL

Hmmm this is pg 13 forum...so why do people -13 have to be here?
If they go here and not pleased then they go out or they shadda'!
Imagine if mormons invaded the internet, they'd whine on any R/Unrated/PG-13/G forum that stuff is offensive. But if you warn people in register page, YOU CAN'T BE BLAMED OR AT LEAST BLAMERS ARE WRONG IF STUFF THAT DEPLEASES THEM IS CONTENT CONTAINED BY FORUM RATING (pg 13 here)!!!
As long as it's PG 13, I feel ok, if it's unrated, I tell poster he should take care of mods that they would be angry lmao, no offense on my side most of time, 17 I am to refresh your minds, I don't give a heck about swearing and hot jokes! (I'm not a whiner about this & that lol)
I don't whine for the swearing, and no, I don't say perso insults/death threats/racist stuff are good, far from that!
If whiners were respect group that'd be easy to poke on them, but that's way harder to determine who are the real whiners here, there alot off respect group, sure of it I'm!
How a bout a Half-Counter Counter Counter Respect-Movement Movement Movement Movement btw?

this statement is false. this forum from the very outset was ment to be viewable by those UNDER pg13, at best, this is supposed to be a PG forum.
you made assumptions and are now putting them on others. PG 13 is way worse than this forum.

Why is there this thing when you register then lol?
What is worse in PG 13 than here? It's more "fluffy bunnyish" and childish?
Or is it, more INTERESTING and COOL?

Jack O'Neill wrote:No I'd say this forum is PG-13 but guys PG-13 was NEVER meant to exclude anyone under the age of 13 it was ONLY meant that if under 13 that they SHOULD (not mandatory) have parental guidance it is a SUGGESTION and NOT a law
You got me wrong.
I dont say ZERO under 13 allowed, I said, under 13 have NOT the RIGHT to whine about ANY pg 13 stuff here, nor ANY adult (parent etc) have to!
Either they go or they get with it!
Pg 13 stuff (when there is) has NOT to be criticized, as rude insults of ANY personal sorts are NOT counted as PG13, and the last ones who can moan 'bout pg 13 stuff are under 13 people, of course!
